Mielikki, which happens to also be the same nature deity that favors the legendary Seldarine drow, Drizzt Do'Urden. By extension, I'm pretty sure he's cool with Friendship Is Magic. He's probably busy kicking bad guy booty all the time, but for the most part, he gets trying to befriend and look out for people.

It's quite endearing; especially when considering Astarion probably found some sense of relation to Drizzt's story of breaking away from the toxic dynamics of drow society. The poor spawn wanted to break away from Cazador for centuries, and he's capable of feeling guilt over all the pain he was forced to inflict under his master's influence. Meeting a legend who also escaped, and therefore had the opportunity to grow to become that legend, does sound like something that would inspire Astarion.

Actually, fun fact: there was no DnD or WotC cash involved, Larian had to pay for the right and almost went bankrupt a couple times during production... that starting cinematic is pure love and hard work.

Damn I already had major respect for Larian but holy sht that really makes me respect them even more. I’m so sad they’ve decided to step away but I fully understand and respect the decision and once I have the money I’m absolutely going to support their future endeavors (and check out their previous ones)

It’s so nice to see someone 1. Actually subtitle their videos and 2. Put CARE in ‘em. Labeling who’s speaking, adding context in parentheses, subtitling the in-game characters despite there technically being subtitles for them already… I really hope whoever made them knows their work is not unappreciated! Also, the chaos unfolding after putting A BIRD TO SLEEP is the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long while (tbh the whole vid made me laugh more than I have in a long while)

She is Ponyville's resident manic pixie dream mare, her mane is a vibrant pink reminiscent of the Feywild, she tamed a whole swarm of Parasprites, and she throws the best parties. The fact there is no part 2 to this yet is heartbreaking to me

As a Hard of Hearing CODA, it makes me so, so happy to see the quality of subtitles on this video. Sophie's really knocked it out of the park with the contexts, the mentions of repeating (instead of leaving the same line up), descriptions of sound effects and labeling of names and imitations. It not only is wonderful for accessibility but also makes me feel that there's a level of care in the work here that you don't see anymore with Netflix captions, etc being so dogshit and paraphrased at best. Also, very funny video!

I love watching other peoples playthrus because they find stuff I had NO IDEA existed- but I also took so long to find companions- it was just me and shadowheart against the world for longer than I care to admit

given MLP is involved here, funny thing about faerun and forgotten realms but they techincally have their own verison of the Celestia/Luna conflict and it's a big theme in the game (grant it instead of the two sisters fighting over night and day, it's over the moon and night itself so it's more like if Celestia got into a turf war with Luna for her domain)

Bought the game immediately after finishing the stream and I'm really enjoying it!

THEY'RE TURNING THE TADPOLES GAY

So I actually did play an entire campaign (or at least about 7 levels of it. We did Dragonheist and then the first couple levels of Mad Mage) as a Celestial Warlock who was based on Twilight Sparkle named Tara (as in Strong). And yes, her patron was a heavenly unicorn spirit named Celess whose domain of influence was dawn and dusk and I had mage hand and used it all the time.

I almost exclusively play human because they have the most flexibility. All the rest have built in backstory on account of racial lore. Humans are a blank canvas. Anyways the reason everyone makes elves and tieflings is because LotR elves are op badasses, and tieflings are *~aesthetic~*
