yoo brother i got some tips: You can stomp on the shotgunners just before they shoot You can use the loaded spear to rip off shigekichi's armor to make him easier to unalive use loaded umbrella to block grabs to trivialize bosses like ogre(suzaku's lotus will also stun ogre) shirafuji, the water lady, and the okami are vulnerable to sabimaru use the same loaded spear trick on the neck stump of the headless ape when he falls over to rip out his centipede

Also, you can deflect all thrust attacks, it does less damage than mikiri and is way less satisfying, but it's a million times more reliable than trying to strafe them. IDK if you did it, but just in case, most randomizers put items of ~equal value in their places, so, for example, key items are always key items, gourd seeds and beads are good and usefull, and most random trash is still random trash lmao, so its worth it to check every gourd seed and bead location in the game, also, if you had to equip 3 prosthetics and the sculptor would've given you another item check replacing the prothetic esoteric book. when Isshin sheathes his sword, you should get close to him, that way, instead of using ashina cross, he will do a regular attack followed by a sweep, which is WAY easier and more damage efective.

It’s really just pattern recognition so u have to play it a lot. Other than that using a heavy hitting thing like portal draw to punish some of his openings is ideal.
