I played 65 YEARS of Stardew Valley to collect EVERY SINGLE ITEM...

Ойындар

This is the most insane item collection Stardew Valley challenge run I could think of. We've done all hats, collections in a year, perfection with trash cans, but it doesn't get more thorough than this. We're collecting the maximum amount of items on a single Stardew Valley farm...
This took 700+ hours, so if you could leave a like that would be awesome :)

Haley's perspective of those 65 years was very different. She first watched as you made your way slowly through all the other marriage candidates in town before settling on her, spending the majority of the next few decades pregnant but with her children mysteriously disappearing every time while her husband devolves into a lunatic, falling into week-long comas before jumping up and ranting about boots and sprinting out of the house from dawn to dusk to fish.

I’d like to call attention to the absolutely apocalyptic state the town was in by the end of this. Multiple townspeople with massive holes in their memory. a reclusive farmer who used to rifle through the trash every day but now only appears once every few weeks to fish, his home a vast field of stone marked with craters. His eternally pregnant wife who never seems to actually have children. Choked with debris in every direction, the townsfolk shelter in their homes and wait for the Feast of the Winter Star, hoping that this will be the year Willy finally appeases him and they can all stop living in fear…

You know the Tetris effect where you play Tetris so much that you start automatically imagining Tetris in your head when you close your eyes? I can't imagine how many nights you went to sleep where all you could think about is casting lines over and over for a pair of boots. You have a seriously impressive amount of determination, and I'm always looking forward to seeing what challenge you'll conquer next. Massive congrats!

Clutching the treasured Work Boots to his chest, Canadian tosses and turns in his bed. "No..." he mumbles in his sleep, "Not again... Hat tournament... one hat cheated..." His hands move on their own, reflexively casting a reel into the accursed ocean, decades of fishing rendering them unable to perform any other movements, "Have to fish for the boots again..." he repeats, tears streaming down his face. The next moment, he shoots up, Work Boots still held tightly to his body. "Another nightmare..."

I recently completed my first ever perfection run. Given that it eventually devolves into ticking off checklists, it's not something I have any desire to repeat, ever. This right here? This would drive me mad. Also, the whole ordeal must've been so weird from the town's perspective. Several holes in the memories of all inhabitants, Haley spent fourty years birthing children she doesn't remember, all while her husband obsessively rummages through trash cans every day and spent the rest of his waking moments fishing for a pair of worthless boots, except for christmas, where he would suddenly have it in himself to make starfruit wine and attend the Feast of the Winter Star. And of course, her remaining both faithful to you and eternally young even 65 years after you came to the valley.

Normally I have the attention span of a goldfish, but the pure craziness of this challenge kept me in for the full 2 and a half hours. I'd be quitting by year 5 if I were you, or in an insane asylum by year 10. Your style of comedy is also top tier, without even saying a word, you had my laughing out loud MULTIPLE times. The Lewis and Leah part, the "Gold Hoe," the moment with Clint and Emily, and the entire Hat World Championships saga. Definitely subscribing and looking forward to more of your content.

Just imagine how the farmer felt, forced by some higher power to farm, mine, find, create, cook, etc every single item in this town and surrounding area, and forbidden to die or leave. You couldn't escape, you couldn't age, you never got sick, nothing. It became more a cycle of unending pain than anything ever imagined possible with your old corporate job you escaped from before.

I've known you ever since you had 20k subscribers back in the day. I've seen your first stardew valley videos and I've seen you grow as I too grew. It might have been a small handful of years, but I still love what you're doing. Another beautiful thing is the fact that this isn't your job! You're doing whole other things besides this and yet you dedicate so much time for us all. Thank you. Also your luck is crap how tf.

Kudos to completing this insane challenge! But... I checked your save file and I found two items you missed, don't worry they're both easy to get, just obscure. 1 - The rotten plant comes in two varieties, you only have one of them. I'm pretty sure any method of getting a rotten plant (pumpkins or the solid gold lewis) is a 50/50 chance of which one it creates. 2 - There is also a second variation of the Tub O Flowers. There are several seasonal plant furniture items that visually based on the season. The tub o flowers does this too, but instead of a visual change, it actually changes into a second item (also called tub o flowers) if you place it during fall/winter and sleep one day. Also, I know you usually don't do day resetting, but it can be used to make the tea set grind much less awful. The person who gives you a gift at winters star is determined by your game seed, and unable to be changed, but the item that they give you is based on the time you enter the feast at. If your gift giver is someone who can give the tea set, you can reset, and try re-entering at 10-minute increments. Doing this, you can usually get the tea set in 2-3 years.

Your insane. Your dedication, skill, and ability to appreciate the small things even still (like the 4 grapes, and a hat tournament (really sad about Qi hat losing). Your predisposition about not doing “morally bad” things like making NPC’s feel bad in a video game I related with a lot. I appreciate your effort, and I hope you feel as much pride as this kind of thing deserves.

i have long thought about ways to express time properly in video form while not completely driving away viewers. this is the first time in genuinely 13 years on this platform i have ever seen it done so wonderfully. i can't believe some canadian in college named after an earlygame terraria weapon playing not terraria was the first creator i've ever seen make a grind feel as outrageous relative to the rest to the viewer. absolutely incredible work. this really reminds me of one of the larger messages in jon bois' 17776 and 20020, actually; where the basic premise is that humans live forever and have become beings of play, inventing new and ever increasingly inane forms of entertainment simply to subsist mentally. this 600 hour grind feels about as insane as the man in the cave playing an old handheld for 70(?) years. and that's saying something. (HIGHLY recommended read btw) but yeah. incredible work, WoS. i always have loved your stardew content as probably my favorite from literally any creator, and i was really excited to see this in my feed. thank you so much. you've given much to the world.

I wonder how difficult it would be to research every single item in Terraria. Might take a while, but I'm sure it would be easier when compared to the dreaded work boots. (Although, it might be wise to wait before attempting a similar challenge for the sake of your sanity). Anyways, it's impressive that you were able to continue grinding over such a long period of time, considering I would've given up within a week or two.
