Been watching you, since almost the beginning (but, have seen every vlog). You've ALWAYS been a class act, but your decision to be with your family? (I'm sure you thought it thru....( do I stay and win one, for Dad, things like that)...... THAT was a class act! As your Dad looked down, from above, I think he would be proud of you, and realized "I raised my boy right!" But, to STILL make the money.... WAY COOL!

@@fozzy7199 but here is the thing. He played with 40K and he’s literally comparing that to what he was making a year as an accountant. He is very smart and knows how not to move up unless you have a good bankroll regardless of how much his KZread income is. He have 700K followes and I’m sure he is making enough to play on high stakes but he doesn’t. Now compare him to Mariano and Rampage. Brad, I've been watching your channel for a long time. I've never left a comment on your video but I just wanted to say that you have left a positive impact on my life with the content that you share with us. All the cash games, tournaments, and meet up games have all led up to this very important part of your poker career and it brings so much joy to see you succeed and play with some of the best poker players that you grew up idolizing. It's a dream that many of us have that you absolutely deserve to experience. Very sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. It must be tough going through that and we respect you sharing that detail about your life with us. I just about teared up when you said that one of the last conversations you had with him was when you shared this amazing poker experience with him before his passing. I'm sure there wasn't a single dad out there that was more proud of their son than yours. The fact that he lived to see his son fulfill his dreams makes me think that he left this world peacefully. I'm very happy I stumbled upon your channel all those years ago, and the amazing impact you had on my life as well as countless others wouldn't have happened if it weren't for your dad. We as a community are so grateful for him and to you as well. Cheers to the legend, Mr. Owen

One of my favorite channels on YT! Truly a joy watching your progress and seeing how far you’ve come. Thank you for being so candid and willing to share your ups and downs. Condolences to you and your family on the passing of your father. Prayers of comfort sent to you. 🙏🏾 Continue to hold onto the memories that the both of you share (not “shared” in past tense).

My deepest condolences Brad, but I'm so happy that you were lucky enough to have had the last conversation with your father be about an event that must have been so important to you. I'm sure he's able to rest peacefully knowing how proud you've made him as the person you've grown into. I attended a funeral for my grandmother today, who was like a mother to me and passed just last week. It's hard, but there's nothing like memories of the wonderful people that they were and the times that they've shared with others to help find peace within. All the best, you deserve it and more.

You're such a stand up guy. Love this win for you and I absolutely cannot express how much my heart goes out to you on your father's passing. Leaving that tournament was definitely a turning point because you chose your family over (potentially) a lot of money and that was definitely the right decision and it's one that you won't regret! Your big-time tournament score is coming!

Hard to express how happy I am for Brad doing so amazing in such a big game, and how excited I am to see such coverage of an event that brings my favorite poker AND chess players together! Been a poker player for decades now but chess is a recent passion so it's awesome to see these two worlds colliding. Phil, Brad, and every poker player should be very afraid if Magnus starts taking the game seriously. Though chess and poker are two very different games the intellectual skills that makes Magnus dominant in chess could easily make him dominant at poker if he put in the work to learn it.

Such an interesting behind the scenes look at the high stakes poker world. Great video Brad. I lost my mom unexpectedly last year at 63 so can imagine how hard that hits. The fact that you were sharing your highs and lows with your dad right up until the end sounds like y’all had a great relationship and I’m sure it made him super happy and proud to see your growth this whole time! When I look back on the time I did have with my mom, I’m just glad that she knew I loved her before she passed away. That’s all that matters.

My brotha Brad!!! You're living many of our dreams and it's been an absolute pleasure watching you grow and become as good of a player as you always wanted to be (and growing!)... Day by day. Not to mention the great clips of your subtle humor in skits and at award shows. Quite simply you bring joy to so many, especially on top of your studied play stylings! As a "following" friend I just wanted to say how much love I'm sending your way with your father passing and all. My father passed away young as well, and as hard as it is, I can tell he did a great job with you... Similar to myself, I would never trade my father being alive now if I had to change ANY of our amazing memories/lessons/life together. Just want to say, ALL the love to you and your fam and keep on being, well, simply YOU. Never doubt yourself and as my Pops said often, "if you can laugh, you can cry, just be you and enjoy the ride"! 🙌😌💯
