6:02 omg I had no intention on finding another video going over the top for a trash 552 but this hit me in the feels. The most extra PCB for $30 lol took FOREVER desoldering each and every switch. You should have painted the plate and board it’s actually nice material to work with

it looks like this guy just wanted some new parts without having to pay for them since he would have had to de-solder those two switches, which were red and green, to put them in there. it makes no sense for someone to have a keyboard like this, i mean come on, look at how many switches and keycaps were missing for no reason at all.... and who would put a keycap on sideways.....

hey Glarses! i learnt a tip online for stripped screw, basically get a rubber band and put it on the top of the screw. get a screwdriver that fit the original screw and unscrew it like normal but with the rubber band. Hope i could be of service!

the new BBK552 "bare bones edition" is freakin awesome. I just did one. I put on lubed cs silvers with some cablemod shine through caps and is sounds amazing.

The finished product sounds so damn goooooood.

I actually bought the same keyboard not long after watching this. I can see why he had switches falling out, the plate is kinda loose tbh. Good thing those hotswap "sockets" (more like switch contact condoms, outemu switches all come with them) can just be desoldered and have other switches put in.

it's very fitting that the final sound test comes as applause in the subtitles

Finally, I understand what this custom keyboard making is about :D
