I picked up a new camera for BTS and Travel!
I was able to pick up a Limited Edition Fujifilm X100VI! I was able to grab number 419 out of 1924.
Only 300 of these were sent to the US, so this is a collectors item however, it's identical to the normal x100vi. (aside from a few things)
Aside from that, I was interested in Fuji for the last few weeks and ended up grabbing 1 of my own. Also I didn’t deep dive into the video features because this camera isn’t the best for video but it does shoot 6k.
Overall the camera is dope and definitely something that any new user or buyer would enjoy! I'll do a more in-depth video down the line but here are my initial impressions.
0:00 - intro
1:05 - close up shots of the camera
2:37 - the limited edition version
3:45 - these are pricey right now (so is the x100v)
4:10 - this will be an everyday carry for me
4:45 - sample photos, straight out of the camera (Film Emulation)
5:50 - the reason I got it
6:30 - who's this camera for?
7:10 - I wanted a separate everyday camera
7:30 - my thoughts
9:30 - the video features is alright but not great by any means

Dope video bro, thanks for the info! Question.. For an everyday, leisure camera to take pics of family etc would you recommend the X100VI or the A7CII?

I actually did a home photoshoot with it and found it to be useful but it depends. Would this be your only camera? If so I think having swappable lenses will be valuable to you! I like the Fuji but I also have the s5ii , fixed lens is fun but def not as versatile for need the versatility!

lol no need, I have an s5ii which is better. Now to your point, if I'm someone who only can afford one - easy go A7C or S5II. Something like this is more for collectors, or people who have extra money to spend. Photography has never been something I was heavy into, it's leisure for me. So my buying needs (or wants) will be entirely different but I have a buddy with the a7c - he loves it. It reminds me of my old a6300 which at the time was the best value on the market! My point is, a camera with swappable lenses is what you should always get first vs. a fixed lens camera unless of course - you're purely just doing street photography.
