Thanks for your response. From research, I understand that foreign trained medical graduates should have completed some form of internship (at least a year ) in their country before they can work in Ireland. I schooled in Ukraine and also did 6 years but I’m confused on how to go about internship in Ireland.

Yes, that is an official statement. However they can not ask an internship from someone who simply does not have an opportunity to do it. It will require a lot of communication between you and IMC but it is possible to get registered without internship if you have a good reason for not having it. It took me several months of back and forth email to explain my situation 😅

Hi Margo, Firstly, I want to congratulate you on achieving your IMC registration! I know it's been some months since you obtained it, but I can only imagine how relieved you must have felt! I wanted to ask a question in relation to IMC registration, I sat my PLAB 1 back in August, and sat PLAB 2 in early March. However, I don't feel very confident about my performance and I'm afraid I might have failed. Given that I'm based in Ireland I'm seriously considering applying for IMC registration and sitting PRES 3. However, I'm curious about the timeline, I will have my PLAB 2 results next week, and if I do fail I'll likely be able to book for July. I was wondering how long it will take from your experience? I understand that PRES 3 occurs twice a year but if i could potentially have a PRES 3 date by autumn, I think ill do it. Once again, congratulations and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi! I think if you apply now with your plab 1 results and epic verification already done you will have the spot for autumn. When i applied it took them only 2 months to make me eligible for pres 3 so I think its definitely possible.

Hi, can you explain how you did epic verification of your certificate? Did you pay fees for physicians or what all amounts of payment you paid? And is there a courier fee for it? Can you make a video on it if possible or maybe explain here ?

I do t think this part even needs a video. You register on the website for 125 dollars or smth and then you upload you diploma translated into English and there is a fee to validate it per document. After you pay you just wait. And if you need to send the verification to a certain medical council you just tick a box. I believe 1 sent is free and after you pay

Hi! As far as I know for pres 3 there is no alternative on the website. For pres 2 they accept plab 1(i did that) usmle and Australian exam - full list you can find on the imc website
