Yes! Very much so.

In your video your mention that a more torquey, lower kv motor may be better suited to the car. I am running a 1512 (42mm by 68mm) 1800kv Castle sensored motor on the adjustable motor mount with a Mamba X controller at 45/63 gearing. On 4S it is a nice little basher, especially with the suspension dialed in. On 6S it feels very, very lively - and torquey enough that I can likely gear it to the moon. But, one gets tired of breaking stuff at high speed, so this is just right.

Sounds great. I wish I'd managed to strike such a balance. however, I did just use what I had lying around! What did you do to get the suspension "dialled"? Any tips would be welcome!

That things absolutely insane on 3s Mike. 2s should be at least driveable....hopefully. Stock gearing, that car will reach 70mph+ Mike,so you need to be careful.

It would be more driveable, but I would love to try and make it work on 3s. Although, trying 2s wouldn't be a crime. Yeah, this is quite a serious on-road!

foam tyres for that power , 2s would be much better for drivability , extra firm moulded inserts and belted tyres if you want to stay with semi pneumatic rubber ,, pretty cool car though !😘

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into my options. I'd love to stay with rubber tyres, but if it has to be foam, it has to be foam! How fast do they wear-out?

they are like any tyre , the more abrasive the surface ,the faster they wear , the biggest issue is chunking , where large bits of foam are torn off the edges of the tyre . Contact make nice foams that are pre glued and trued ,plus they do tarmac (asphalt) versions that are more robust . have fun . @@TheRCScotsman

I have this car, I have not even drove it yet, the tires have never touched the ground have not even put the stickers on it, right now I'm checking out my rlaarlo 1/14 truggy it's crazy on 2s I have to order a 50 c 3s battery for it, it's scary fast on 2s though

Well don't take mine as inspiration! Some people have got these really dialled in. If your buggy is scary fast on 2s, I dread to think what it'll be like on 3s!

Trying to get mine to 120mph now, think i might get the ak787 dual motor for that though and make the 917 a drift car
