Your ponderings on the gt12 in general & the motor issues are fascinating, thank you. I've just picked up a CRC CK25 for my 1st 1/12 car (Ebay, NIB, Cheap :-) ) LMP, not GT12 i believe, but should be lots of fun

Hi , answer to your question at the end to, what I do is firstly try out another esc and also the tolerance for accepted timing phase deviation on the boards is 4. The trinity motors are best.

Hello there. Unfortunately, I don't have another ESC. I do love Trinity motors, so I'll continue to try and get to the bottom of this. In the meantime, I've bought a Hobbywing, so now I have the choice.

I would probably stick with trinity, but I like being different. Sometimes it's more fun making something work than following the crowd. If however you want to win, then take advice!

Absolutely! That's why I originally bought the Revtech. However, I've now bought a Hobbywing.

I get it, I’d be in the same spot. But my quality-focused mind says If it’s a good design, poorly executed, it’s not really good. Decisions, decisions

I made the decision! It was the Hobbywing.

On the box of my trinity revtech, they state the sensor boards are a wear an tear item and expect them to fail with use over time. In many of myself in the hobby never i heard of a brushless motor fail for no reason and i don't expect them to but may after a decade lose skight power ( 1 moving part non contact).but many esc's

Indeed, although my new sensor board is maybe only 3 months old.

I would look towards what others run & suggest, especially those that are winners. Theirs a reason they dont use or suggest Trinity, if they were good or better they would be using them.

Absolutely true. Yeah, it seems at my club, the Hobbywing is the preferred motor.

Hi, personally I'd go with a the Hobbywing. If the beer you drank was consistently giving you a hangover, would you not try a different beer to see if you could avoid the hangover?... I think you should try something else, you can always sell it if you don't like the characteristics.

Are you able to run 2 pole motors, if so these have high torque powerband at high rpm vs 4 pole.

They are 2 pole motors already

Have you tried a new sensor cable they get damaged pretty easily.

Yes, sorry, I should have said! 2x different sensor cables. One of which was presenting issues with this motor, but is happily working in another car.

Hey, it's not quite as bad as that! More like "she's been great for a year and a half, but now she's being difficult and I heard her sisters are the same". If she cheats and lies, she's out! 😆 Not really, both around £100.

You sound a lot like me. I like to be a bit different with stuff like this, so you've got to decide to go with your head, or your heart!! My choice, would be, try another Revtech!! But what do I know....!!! 😂
