*_But, if you go up in price, aquarium scenery can be very good; also for wargaming terrain. But now we all have 3D printers, so there's no point in buying aquarium terrain for wargaming, not even "sunken ships" or "large dragon skeletons". If you are gifted or find a large bundle for next to nothing, "hmmm"._* *_However, plasticard of great quality is amazing for building blinged-out-board game-tiles, or mazes or dungeons. That was a few sheets of garbage you bought-but we all knew it would be garbage. Black plasticard(stiff), for making large, confined board game boxes/tiles/pieces is siiick._**_ *_The video was still fun._*

One thing to be mindful of with drill-type devices is "what are they intended for?" I use a multitool designed for use on acrylic/gel nails rather than a hobby drill or dremel-type device because plastic and PLA and resin are closer to nail extension products (acrylic and gel) than wood and metal. Also the Wowstick drill seems like it has no power but it's meant to be low-speed/high-torque for use on PCB's and plastics.

Hey guys I grabbed that exact air brush, took me a ages to notice that there is a small adaptor that is in the black box that needs to go on first before it becomes duel action, otherwise it does what you see it doing just blowing air.

That's included incase you use it with a compressor that can tolerate a dual-action airbrush. Some sites are honest enough to say that those hand-held compressors will fail if they have back pressure. So use them single action when totally portable; and get almost dual-action when using a good compressor and air tank.

I've bought something very similar to the "beauty system" a while ago as my first airbrush and it's not very good, but! It does it's job. I use it for priming minis and painting terrain. It's quiet and portable - that's a huge plus. Clogging can happen if I don't rinse it with water thoroughly after each use. Overall, it's a strong 6/10 from me.

exactly, but Squid's advice to avoid due to difficult maintenance is good advice. I started with a similar kit, used it for basing and it worked well. @@JeffreyBenjaminWhite It's a double-edged sword. Yes, something cheap may cause more issues for beginners, so force them to try to solve them, but on the opposite end, by convincing beginners to buy expensive tool which they are not sure they need and may not like using cause or they never tried it or regret spending money on it I would also say it's not an issue of cheap and expensive, there are many very cheap, but very serviceable, airbrushes now on the market and no need to avoid them, but as with any tool, better to check what experienced people would say about it.

@@tay13666I bought an airbrush used for cake decorating, it has a rechargeable battery air pump attached to the nozzle, it's fine for priming and zenithal highlights but it's quite heavy and awkward to hold in your hand, and the nozzle you get with the airbrush isn't great, but I've bought more detailed nozzles individually so it's pretty good. A downside to using a battery powered airpump is you have to make sure you're not using the pump on low battery because the PSI does change compared between a full battery and low battery

I bought a cheap $25 set off Amazon. The airbrush is decent as is the small compressor, but the quality is crap. The on/off switch is broken so you have to unplug it to turn it off. A Golden Demon Winner said during an interview: "While a master can paint perfectly with trash tools, the last thing a beginner need is to fight bad, cheap tools while trying to learn to paint. A beginner will learn slower and learn the wrong way of painting by unknowingly compensating for the bad tools, not even knowing that the tools are the actual problem, not the painter. Always buy the best, more expensive and most recommended Highest-Quality tools as a beginner. Later on you can buy whatever." I don't remember the guys name but his wisdom is a timeless truth and helped me alot in the beginning of my painting journey. Just buying the IWATA HP-CS changed everything about airbrushing for me, for example.

Those brushes that Emil tested are actually quite alright, I own a VERY similar looking set of brushes that are most likely from the same factory with just a different brand getting their name printed on them, other than that they are identical. Even if the tips might look bad occasionally they can be reshaped fairly easily and if you clean them properly after use they will last pretty long, they are great for both beginners wanting to test the hobby and for more seasoned painters that need some good quality but still cheap workhorsebrushes :)

Half of the items on this list I actually have in my workshop plus also I encountered the same problems with the exact items. With the air brushes I took off the brush from the hand held compressor and added the other brush (the exact one) to it and it is a good all rounder for basing and large highlights 🤣. Would love to see a comparison video of all these items to the ones you guys use on the regular. Would definitely be a help to beginners and journeymen alike👍 Another awesome vid guys. Earned another vid per vid like from me 👍

Aquarium ornaments have always been a bit shit in the dry because they're made to sit submerged in a fishtank and can't be too textured for the health of the tank & occupants. Drillbits were crap but what about the handle? Should come back to the "dremel" after a while to see if the motors still working Beauty airbrush system sounds like it belongs in a spray tan booth

Regarding brushes, the cheaper ones always seem to be hit or miss, and even then, the ones that do hit aren't as good as a proper good brushes. However, over the last year, I've done about 95% of my painting using 2 old cheap makeup brushes for drybrushing, 3 different cheap larger sized brushes for basecoating and washes, a couple of old garbage brushes for doing stuff like bases, and my workhorse is a cheap size 1 that is actually a hit and both forms a nice tip and holds it (it forms a nicer tip than the 00 from that same package lol). Maybe I got lucky, but that one brush has been really nice.

I got a really nice air brush with built in compressor. It works great for priming my figures and for doing my base coating and such. As it retails for around 587.18 Kronor or US 53.86 and has lasted me almost a year so far... pretty cost effective. I only charge it once every couple weeks so it is energy efficient for me as well. I still prefer to use brushes for most fine painting, but it has allowed me to stop using spray primer and saves me a ton of time plus it being cordless allows me superior portability.

Thanks for super good videos. 😊😊 I just want to say that I have bought a relatively cheap airbrush a bit like the one with a compressor. The one I bought, however, gives me the possibility to control the air via the airbrush like when I use my regular compressor. And I can mount my more expensive airbrushes on the smal compressor.😊 it actually works well 😊

I've ordered a couple of cheap airbrushes now. What you need to know as a consumer is that the quality control is wildly inconsistent, and sometimes (like with Lukas' model) they are difficult to clean properly. If you get free returns from the store you're using, I'd highly recommend them, but otherwise beware.

about the airbrush I know so many people telling me airbrushed was only good for basing, because they bought this kind of stuff. There is a reason why airbrushes are expensive but people often favor cheap stuff as a beginning to "try out" and get the wrong idea.

Even a cheap airbrush can be fine for highlights if you have a skill for it and know how maintain and sometimes improve it (polish needle, seal all connections properly, lubricate needle and trigger, and just properly clean it) I wouldn't blame cheap airbrushes for this, this just requires quite a lot of skill and practice I think the only thing which is different with more expensive airbrushes, is that after purchase more expensive ones, it pushes the owner to master it out, otherwise one thinks that they are wasted money

Technically, a fragrance diffuser IS a humidifier because it's putting moisture into the air. Just not much... If your room is about a square foot, it could perhaps make it humid.
