He didnt actually copy Ultra Instinct, its a state a Martial Artist can achieve when they achieve their peak mental state. Thats why Whis noted it is similar but at the same time not.

@Boltz4 i think thats a misconception, thats when hit was hunting him down and he was being extra careful so he was actually thinking more than usual instead of not thinking.

Imagine if Goku sat and told 17&18 to get next to him and just keep pumping their infinite energy into the spirit bomb for like 10 minutes since Jiren said he’d wait however long it took to ready it.

I mean, the Spirit Bomb is gathering of life essence not energy, the Androids being Androids wouldn't contribute at all since they have no life essence, only pure energy and electricity.

One thing that didn’t fully get across was that Ultra Instinct had been lightly foreshadowed throughout DB Super.

In case you’re wondering what that red aura was on Goku at 3:34 it’s called Kai-oken he uses it for strength speed and senses on other bad guys but it drains his energy so much because it’s an energy multiplier and with Ssj blue its insane

It's the Kaio-ken, not Kai-oken. King Kai is "Kaio-sama" in the sub hence the word is split up at the "o" instead of the "i".

In DBS Vegeta is usually the same strength as Goku not like in DBZ when he was always a step behind so not counting new transformations if Goku can beat an enemy Vegeta can too. You should watch the whole thing because Vegeta is one of the protagonists as a duo with Goku which is cool.

You gotta watch Goku Vs Kefla and every Mastered Ultra Instinct moment. Those two are clean as hell too

I like to think that the spirit bomb brought him off of a plateau that Goku was having trouble passing over-- so thinking with numbers, he had felt himself to be at a limit of 6 billion, and the spirit bomb, composed of his own energy and the energy of all of his friends and loved ones, boosted him up another billion, which was enough to break him out of that hard spot and into the realm of the Gods. (Of course, we all know Power Levels are useless so the numbers are just placeholders to get the point across lol) That also explains why he couldn't immediately hold onto UI. The extra boost only lasted so long, and he had to get that strong naturally to reuse the power.

The "ooooooo ooooooo" got me bro😂

If you can, just go back and watch this fight subbed. Ultimate Battle is a MUCH better song in Japanese, even if you don't understand the words at all. Also the fight in the last episode, it's one of the best animated fights in all of DB.

As. fellow animator i can elaborate a bit on Jirin and Goku's Ultra instinct fighting styles. They apecifically animated Jirn to just stand there as a frame for us viewers to see, but do a sudden motion but then cut to the r other getting hit so many times and us as the viewers are like wait what? Jiren fights so fast that they are throwing almost barely 2 frames of him throuweing hands but still showing him staying still. Same with Ultra instinct they are just moving that fast. They eye attack everyone was talking about was the first indicator to suprise people before going more in depth and showing how it works thr longer the show runs. As a Shock suprising factor, since Jiren was a new character. Ive been calling the new hod forms. Sayin God, because he looks like hsi normal form.... not a super saiyan, and the Blue form i call it, Super saiyan God because his hair is actually a Super Saiyan style.... Just sayin

Nah, mate. Saiyan God is his weird looking aura in the Resurrection F movie. If we're gonna call Super Saiyan God just Saiyan God because he looks like his base form, then we should also call Super Saiyan 4 "Primal Saiyan", since it doesn't look like a Super Saiyan form, but a primal form.

This is my first time seeing this part in english dub, I'd seen it in japanese (english sub) way back when the Tournament of Power arc was new and... ...god damn, I can't believe they covered that one song in english I feel like it sounded better in japanese but even then, the amount of times it gets replayed until the end of this arc was already annoying, it's gotta be so goofy in english LMAO

The ToP is so hype, but it doesn't give Gohan the spotlight he deserved when he was the one who took down Kefla and nobody could believe how much more powerful he'd gotten during the tournament. Piccolo says it was the best Gohan ever faught and Goku was amazed too, having struggled against Kefla (though a bit worn down).

Gohan was surely stronger in the manga due to this fight, but it was so short, most of it was offscreen, and that was his only fight basically, anime Gohan fought way more

12 universes, 6 were erased 100s of millions of years ago, by Zeno, so there used to be 18 universes but now it’s 12
