It gets better. Every aspect of a saiyans physicality improves with each transformation. Their reaction times and hearing also improve if I'm not mistaken.

Just so you know, you didn't skip anything bro! Both Vegeta and Goku reached Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (Super Saiyan Blue) off-screen. It was during their fight with Frieza when they first went Blue on screen. Also the episode you should start watching Dragon Ball Super is the Episode 28, first 27 episodes were both "Battle of Gods" Saga and "Ressurection F" Saga. Hope it helped!

He skipped a lot of the training, how Vegeta got there, how Goku got there after,Whis's interactions with Bulma, Goku getting a new outfit made by whis as well as a lot of comedic moments like Vegeta struggling to gently crack an egg and not crush it, or how one egg hatches in his hands and the chick that came out copies Vegeta's actions etc. All of these made the story a much better experience. Power levels for battle of gods made a lot more sense in the anime as well. In the movie Goku basically goes,I'm the protagonist of this show and somehow speed blitzes Beerus in base. He even had a genuine doubt in this video that he wouldn't have had if he had watched the anime.This movie also tries to bring back power levels and does a terrible job at it as well. Gohan gets more spotlight in the anime and ssb gets more spotlight in the anime as well. Goku got hurt by the beam in base when he wasn't reinforcing his body with ki in the anime instead of the ridiculousness they pulled in the movie as well. In the anime Vegeta held Goku's shoulder instead of his hand when he hesitatated. So tell me, how did he not skip anything again? I want to read your reply.

Gohan really can’t be a disappointment. Literally the first episode he appeared in DBZ as a child, he said he wanted to be a scholar, not a fighter. Plus Future Gohan, the one who never stopped training, literally dies. That seems like a message that it really isn’t the path for him

Yeah, I can't stop seeing comments on this topic, guys Gohan just wants to live a peaceful life with his family, his ARC in super is understanding that in order to do that he needs to be strong enough to protect them But still, if the character just stayed as him being a normal father, why the fuck are people mad? He always showed discontent in fighting and killing, now that he's happy people just want to see him suffer, when they don't understand that future Gohan actually wanted what actual Gohan has

@@omega7057 I think it's more because he back tracks from the lesson against Cell that you just stated. You said he gained an understanding that in order to do that he needs to be strong enough to protect them. But he didn't retain his strength or try and get stronger based on that lesson. Instead, he grew soft and weaker. Still strong, and I dont deny that his actions are understandable since he thought that all serious threats were delt with and he had Goku and vegeta to handle things, but it still contradicts that lesson. In fact, this makes him more 'human' in a sense, that he grew over confident or complacent so he didn't grow stronger, and it bit him in the butt in super. That's how I see it. Like a wake up call again and a reteaching the lesson that he should have learned against cell. He can live the peaceful life, not wanting to kill, enjoying his time with his family, but he shouldn't have given up trying to maintain his current strength or trying to grow a bit stronger for a 'just in case scenario' which was again, the lesson he should have learned in the ARC against the androids and cell.

So one kinda cool detail is that in the actual series during the training session before they fight Frieza, who’s explains a specific way of utilizing their ki and the moment they tried tried and clashed in the middle and you can see a blue aura surround them for a moment foreshadowing the transformation

The trade mark name for that form is Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. Which is pretty self explanatory, it’s the red god form + Super Saiyan.

I think watching episode 1 is a good place to start since it kind of catches you up on what all the characters have been doing since the defeat of Majin Buu 4 years earlier. Then you can skip to episode 28 because the other episodes are just retelling the events of the Beerus and Frieza movies.

The Frieza song was never actually a DBZ song, it was made by a Japanese metal band that were fans of the series. I was SHOCKED when I heard that song actually play in this movie, it got me so hyped lmao

@@jrgyy3681 yeah man. As a lifelong Dragon Ball fan I also recommend to casual fans that they should watch Battle of Gods and Resurrection F and just skip the first 2 arcs of Dragon Ball Super. A couple things are done better in the anime, like SSB Vegeta vs Golden Frieza for instance, but it's not necessary.

biggest cop out was giving Goku the Blue transformation. thats suppose to be Vegetas Transformation while Goku uses the Red.

For the db s you can start from the start cause they just recap the movies with a bit more added and slight changes and context to how the vents happened

I kinda wish that we got the slow reveal of Super saiyan blue lik we got in the show adaption of Ressurection F, because the pan up for super saiyan blue in the movie is so fast you don't really get the time to appreciate that Goku and Vegeta unlocked a power beyond Super Saiyan God. And I kinda wish the movie also included the return of Captain Ginyu, even if he got disposed of so quickly it was still nice to see him again Also you know the flower garden scene, That actually hinted to ultra instinct. To think they planned years ahead of Ultra instinct before actually making it real Note: when you begin on DBS the show, you start on episode 28 as everything before that is Battle of Gods and Resurrection F show adaption

I think Resurrection F is the turning point for Gohan. Before, he never had the motivation to train because someone was always around to keep the world safe. Even if Goku was dead, then Vegeta was still around and desperate for strong opponents to fight. The only time both Goku and Vegeta were both dead is also the first time Gohan made the decision to train all on his own, during the Buu arc with the Elder Kai. In this story, though, he realizes the cost of being complacent with his training. In the anime adaptation of this film, Gohan is the one to call Goku and Vegeta back to Earth by pushing the Super Saiyan transformation so far, the power wave was able to reach Beerus's Planet, giving Goku something to lock onto with Instant Transmission. It left him basically unconscious and drained of all his energy, but he knew it was the only chance Earth had, because they were all too weak to face Frieza. But Gohan knows he can be stronger, and this encounter with Frieza was finally enough of a demonstration that he couldn't afford to slack off anymore. What's crazy is how strong Goku has gotten. Back in Frieza saga he was struggling to keep up with final form Frieza and barely won except he didn't won because Frieza was still standing. Now to see him in his base form whooping Frieza in his final form is impressive, now Frieza is struggling to keep up with base form Goku.

Vegeta trained on beerus and whis planet while goku didn’t know he was there then goku went and trained with him aswell and goku learned ssb with the help of the god power and vegeta had to figure it out on his own

There’s a small explanation in the show but it’s kinda subtle

I'd say Gohan isn't a disappointment, but I'm tired of him being pushed back into the lime light when it doesn't fit. No joke, I want to see more of piccolo, krillin and the others than Gohan. This movie is great. Looking forward to seeing you start the rest of the series.

Yeah his arc is done, it's annoying that people can't move forward, bringing him back with no character arc no matter how powerful he is would just make him another Jiren, an uninteresting character only cool for his level of power in spite of being a boring shell. If they can't find a natural arc for him then he shouldn't be brought back into the forefront (Gohan and the others should and will always be in DB though but as side-characters).

If u must know there is still one more Dbz movie u gotta watch and that is Dragonball Super Heroes The Movie This time it’s about Gohan and he unlocks his new beast mode form!!! It’s freakin lit🔥 Can’t miss that one too It’s the last of the Dbz movies🌚

Tbf i don't think there is anything to explain about Super Saiyan Blue.. its just the GOD Ki mixed with Super Saiyan on top of it.. and also if i'm not mistaken, in Dragon Ball Super Vegeta turned SSB before Goku did.

Did Frieza have his golden form unlocked as soon as he was resurrected? I know that in the anime it says it took him four months to get the form by training with the purple guy, but in the movie, he just yeeted him out of the spaceship.

Frieza did not have his Golden form as soon as he was resurrected. He unlocked it from the four months of training, that particular detail is one-to-one between the movie & the retelling in DBS.

goku achieved super sayen blue by combining ssjg with super sayan and vegeta had first to train for ssjg and then combine it with ssj thats the explaining they explainded it in the anime

Super Saiyan blue is just the Super Saiyan form of Super Saiyan God

You need to watch DBZA. ONly goes through the cell sage, but maybe one of the best things to happen to DB

You didnt really miss anything, Blue kinda just shows up out of nowhere, its one of the reasons a lot of people don't really like it.

I have a theory Toriyama gave Gohan those glasses to explain why he missed catching the potara. Gohan just has bad eye sight and missed it. So he got glasses to fix that going forward. Wish he just got lasik.

Gohan is the definition of highs and lows. He starts off as this annoying brat until he gets Super Saiyan and later Super Saiyan 2. Then in the Buu saga he's nerfed until he has his potential unlocked. Then this movie happens and he stays this way until the Tournament of Power where he makes it almost to the end
