As someone who has lived in Louisiana my whole life, I'm surprised at how perfect that gumbo looked. Usually people on here completely butcher it but you made it just like we do down here. Your roux was beautiful.

I liked the okra in the gumbo, but the gumbo I tried had gator meat and a lot of spices, so I’m glad in the movie tiana added Tabasco to heat it up even more but DAMN that gator meat was sooo good.

my whole family is from New Orleans and for someone who isn't from there this is a pretty good representation of gumbo. I've never had my gumbo with chicken but traditionally gumbo was made with whatever you had in your kitchen. Also, this is my first time ever seeing someone using the right sausage!!!

Can we talk about how I Inga held the congee in the thumbnail? LIKE HOW DID IT NOT SPILL EVERYWHERE? Man, every buzzfeed producer producer who makes food related video, must have a super buff dominant hand. Don’t even get me started on the amount of work tasty producers put into their work.

I was adopted from South Korea and so Mulan is definitely one of my favorite Disney Princesses since she is from an Asian culture too. I loved that scene too when Mulan is in the match makers house and the cricket is in the cup of tea. Poor Mulan she tried to warn the matchmaker.

Studio Ghibli has the most amazing looking food; they put so much effort into making it all look so incredible. So if you chose to do that, I feel like you'd be in for quite the ride!

The dessert might be more tasty and fluffy(like in the movie), if you put in the processor a quarter of a tablespoon of baking soda.(I tried it and it works amaizing) Measurements: 6 eggs require about a taplespoon of baking soda, so if you do it with 2 egg it might be a bit more than a quarter taplespoon. I hope you remake this. It’s very-very-very yummy!!

Not gonna lie, your video made me wanna watch those princess disney movies

If you’re going to make any other Disney foods. I recommend looking at Dishes by Disney. It’s a series created by Disney on KZread where they have recipes from the movies (like Remy’s Ratatouille) as well as foods inspired by the films.

I'm so distracted by the thought of investigating if the setting matches Alvin's kitchen which would indicate that they are living together, that i really couldnt pay attention to the amazing food she prepared. lol.

You know you’re made for this cooking stuff when your dishes turn out almost exactly like the movies/shows❤️

It's such a coincidence that Inga's favorite Disney princess is Mulan and she even almost looks like her. ☺️

Okayu and congee are pretty much just rice with 5 - 10x more water--super easy to make!! My mother used to make it with dashi (bonito and kelp stock) instead of water to add some salt and nutrients when I was sick 😊

Yes, it's basically like oatmeal but with rice. It's meant to be the base of breakfast, like bread can be. If you go out and get it, there are all sorts of side with stronger flavor.

Sometimes we get fancy and use a different type of rice. But yeah, it’s basically extra soupy rice.

Substitute water with beef/chicken/vege stock/broth to make it more tasty.... user low sodium or no sodium broth/stock to easy control salty taste

I love yours and Rie’s creations, just to name a few favorites...but I want to have written recipes down as well so I can try them too! In the meantime, I’ll just jot down notes when I get the chance!

The fact that the real life gumbo looked more delicious than the animated one is really amazing.
