yo guys, the sound is really good, so close, good job, and thank you for sharing❤ when i tried to replicate this sound, i used a single fully distorted triangle wave with hyper dimension and compressor, and i recreated the tone of the sound with noise section

Definitely saturation/clipping going on in the original sound. He might even be side chaining to layers for the movement he is getting, but it isnt really a typical FM bass imo. Its also really nice how he softens the response tom sounds, might be high end roll off.

If you compare the single version of Leave Me Like This to the album version, and you can hear that he made the kick a lot shorter to make the low end cleaner and tighter, like you're saying around 22:00

Not sure if Skrillex is sitting around by himself designing these sounds. Chances are he has tons of people helping out , mixing , tweaking, etc. props to u two for doing it alone lol. Good stuff.

I feel like he has the skill to do everything himself, but his music is so collaborative that you’re probably right. He’s probably spending time making stuff himself but also using bits and pieces made by people like Joyryde, Noisia, etc.
