I absolutely love this sequence edited together. This is perfect.

Now we need to have the sequel segment where Grey sets up the home office in his basement garage

With the addition that Mike first though that Grey would be sitting on his hometrainer in a parking spot in-between the the cars.

That video segment is Rules for Rulers, not a new video.
How has nobody commented on the changing picture frames, every time it cuts back there’s 2 new one. Loves the details.
I remember this storyline and love that it is now animated

which episode was it
The "Spy vs. Spy" background at the mortal enemy part got me so good! Pure genius.
Somehow every new animation is my favourite, but I feel like it will be hard to top this one
I thinked that the podcast was more recent, so I was like "well, at least he didn't hear him reding the script of Rule of rulers", then I saw the ending
"Do you want to rule" is probably the most iconing Grey video, and the only one I remember the opening line from
This is is so good. No cortex saga deserves animation as much as this one
This is my new favourite cortex animation
I love that Grey jumps like a scared cat.

Me too
Loving the calm betrayal by Mike. The character progession in this episode cannot be matched.
The Garfield mug at 1:30 says "I'm sorry Jon" in very faint letters under the bit about mondays. Subtle
This is a full story that works really well in the short format. I really loved the poster changes as well. This may be the best Cortex Animated yet and would be the one I'd recommend as a teaser to new listeners.
OMG its been sooooooo looooooong I though there were not going to be any more animations, glad Im wrong. Hopefully we are going to see Grey´s parking garage office animated with a concerned air purifier :3
pull form an old episode, but such a fun story, especially when you know what video he is talking about
Honestly, best cortex animated yet! It was like a soap drama 😂
So I was listening to this, first time ive ever seen this channel, and I'm like "man this reminds me of CGP Grey"
Well now I know why it's been so long since there was an animation! 4 and a half minutes of amazing story time :D 🍀
That set up for the end was just magnificent. 💯
It sounds like the renters need to move them to opposite sides of the building, and if possible, different floors. On an unrelated note, I'm imagining a weird future where offices are rented out to double-duty and when the day crew go home, an hour later the night crew show up and do a different job while using the same offices, at slightly lower rent costs. That way cities can save money since half as many offices need to be built. I could see this being done in the UK before anywhere else, since they are pretty office-heavy.

Love the new longer arcs in these 😍
oh my god this is the funniest animated video ever. from the innocent beginning to the horrifying apex
NEW CORTEX PODCAST ANIMATED VIDEO !!! TODAY IS A GREAT DAY !!!!!!!!!!
I love how CGP Grey is drawn as a robot. I never knew how much I needed CGP Grey art!!
My jaw is QUIVERING! Desperate to hold in raucous laughter that would be absolutely unacceptable to erupt from my cubicle after watching this. The animation style and the passage of time through the conversation to then climax with the realization of context that it's the rules for rulers videos is simply hilarious.
Rules for Rulers?! My 2nd favorite vid of yours (because of course, hexagons are the bestagons).
You are a KZread animator. Your character is a self portrait. Drawing attention to yourself is your literal job description!
This is perfection. The way the story is brought together, the killer animation style, all the little jokes in the animation - truly delightful.
This is by far one of the best cortex animated that has ever existed. Fantastic work.
now we will need the entire arc of office spaces, from this to the glass cube to the pitch black home office to the basement garage, also with Myke's mega studio of course!
The mood posters in the background really sold this story.
Oh my god the "The Producers " unhappy reference was genius
Best cortex animated so far
The Studabaker was a deep cut. Props to the animator.
The paintings keep changing and I love it
I honestly laughed so hard that I cried
Best one yet! I can’t even say what my favorite part was because the whole thing is my favorite part ❤
The ending, lol
Wow. This is absolutely your best work yet, VERY well done.
Love how the pictures on the wall change every time it cuts back to them

Can we get a list of all the posters together? 00:54 Homer spying on Flanders 1:04 Three wheels on my wagon (mosying referenece) 1:42 C for Cookie Monster 1:55 Bob the Builder and Sisyphus (pushing a boulder up a hill forever) 2:02 THIS IS SPARTA!!! 2:13 The ring-tailed lemur leader from Madagascar 2:34 Rear Window (maybe?) 3:30 Hannibal Lector and Conan the Barbarian (crushing his enemies and hearing the lamentation of the women) 3:46 'I am Spartacus!' this is the video that made me a fan of these animations [shout out to HM Boutet] which then made me a fan of the podcast, which i’m listening to in order. highly effective.
The "I don't know what you're talking about" killed me
Grey continuing to be just like me forreal and also someone I hope I never have to deal with in real life
On the phone to China you say? Time to start piping the Taiwanese national anthem into his office when he’s on the phone, I reckon. That should solve your neighbor issue pretty quick.

I feel like the animation has gotten better, smoother. Love this sequence together :)
I'm so glad this was animated!
Wow This is great. Probably my favorite topic cluster in the podcast. The irony of Mike asking if Grey has considered... deposing his office neighbor is very clear with all of the clips in succession.
I didn't know what you're talking about Mike. I don't have an office mate. 💀
I hope the guy eventually saw the full video.
CGP Grey vids also need to be animated this way.
I have never laughed like this is a while.
My company's administration office annex was, when I started, the only unit in the building that was actively occupied thanks to the other tenants being on WFH or pulling out of the building. It was like we had the whole building to ourselves, and it was great, especially for introverts like me. A few months ago a company moved into the unit right next to us and they're all super friendly sales people. They will make really familiar greetings when they see you in the hall and they're always just hanging out in the common areas unless they're having another loud party that rattles our walls at 4pm on a Friday. The guys have no sense of men's bathroom social isolation protocols. It's awful. We looked up the company and it's an MLM.
I love the posters changing each time lol
Now that I've watched the video, omg. So good. Lol (my favorite part was how the paintings kept changing)
I liked that the paintings keep changing in the animation.
I love giving podcasts visuals or animation, i wish more people did it
Oh my god i just noticed the Mob Psycho 100 reference at 1:08
When I was listening to back catalogue I couldn't help myself but to look up the video. It was hilarious listening to that. I love there's an animated episode on this.
This is amazing. I've been re-listening to the show and envisioning these animations as the conversations come up is always a good time, so glad they exist.
1:00 gotta love the studebaker champion
wow, that's a blast from the past!!
2:45 The most mortifying thing in the world, being conceived. I will never get over it and I completely understand
Thank you for this amazing compilation! Some of my favourite moments on Cortex
I watched this immediately after watching the rules for rulers, and I'm just dying laughing now.
The paintings change everytime
Excellent! I love the animation style and the story is great too.
Absolutely incredible!! This had to have taken a lot of time and effort but it totally paid off. 💯
yeah but why does the neighbour look like a kerbal lmao
I found myself sat next to a cringey highbrow business meeting in a cafe a few months back. The more expensive suit sat with one leg crossed, waved his hand around, and postured for dominance while saying all the buzz phrases like "we would like to see things more tied in" while the cheaper suit had to pretend this was all very constructive and helpful.

Such a classic saga. Love seeing it animated!!
These animation shorts - pure art.
If you gon on about crushing your enemies to a stereotypical business guy, he's just thinking you're writing a motivational speech or something. Either that or he barely registers you at all.
The mean pictures in the Background are amazing
I can't be the only one who noticed the animated allusion to Mob Psycho 100 at 1:07, right? Grey's holographic, geometric-patterned aura followed by an all-black, literally sketchy version with white eyes. (Unless I'm missing something, in which case, feel free to correct me.)
I only just noticed that Grey jumps like a cat
1:47 Unhappy...
Lmao. I had a feeling it was the rulers video script. This was amazing. Thank you!
this is exactly the timeline i experienced it.. hearing talk about that office.. and then watching the uploaded video..
4:00 oh no It’s rules for rulers
Now we need to hear about the hexagon video and how that would have sounded if quarantine never happened
An timeless classic! Bravo
YES!!!! AH HA HA HA HA!!! Mama, the animations are back!!!! Omg YES!!!
I’m so sorry for the officemate. 😂
Go West? Yes. Thank you for that.
I just listened to the ladt episode todwy, what a wonderful time to find this
3:26 - 4:19 So Funny! Mike's face! Also 4:13, how catlike Grey's response is to Mike bursting in.
They are back.
You should invite him over one day to do a recording session with him. Where you can ask him these hard hitting questions.
This is me in my classroom everyone thinks im a pysco
This is great but now you also have to animate Grey getting the first iPad Pro
I've only recently started listening to Cortex (apart from the occasional episode) and because I'm a completionist, I started from the beginning! So this conversation was very recent for me! It's also very funny to hear the developments in the Apple ecosystem over the years.
Thats pretty cool animation. Love it Also it's an old story:)
So fun! Thanks for the lols!
nice to see this is back !
