Coming from a broken home as a kid.. 7 kids . 5 baby daddies.. my mom never spoke ill on our fathers, no matter the fathers circumstances. She would always leave it up to us to have our own perception. So I just don't understand why a woman would do that. As a father ... I understand Mr Garlands frustration. Because im in a similar situation without going to specific. That brother is hurt. And been hurting for years. As a MAN.. I wouldn't be so quick to judge if I never experienced what that man went thru. Some things are better left unsaid. Respect to u big Reg🦁👑🙏🏽

He was after 2Pac’s money, POINT BLANK PERIOD!! If the reason he went after the estate was just to PROVE he was Pac’s dad, a paternity test is all he had to do! I agree with you a lot Reggie, but my only thing is Billy Garland seemed to never look for the spotlight. He had a few rare snippets in other reports or docs in the past, but he didnt seem like he went out of his way to boast or brag about being Pac's dad everywhere. If people started to respect him, its because he hasnt taken away his own blame. The man is in his 70s, and its obvious he carries a burden about how things happen. You dont have to kick a man when hes down. He did lose a son. Whatever issues he and Afeni had we'll never know. She said her part, and he has a right to say his. I dont think anyone is in a position to say who was right or wrong. Pac came out of that situation, and that was God's plan. Both were Panthers, both had their own demons they had to battle after how the organization was infiltrated. We all know life isnt without its complexities.

@@reggiewright Two wrongs don't make a right though Reg. If Afeni knew Billy was potentially the father, then she made a choice to omit that information. By Pac's own words, he had to confront Afeni's past to get that truth. Just an all around messed up situation. As far as locating Pac that's where I agree with you. The Shakurs couldve moved around a lot, but that's still a hard case to stand on when they knew know so many mutual people. Mutulu was a prominent name in the community. It wouldn't have been easy, but it wasn't terribly hard either. I know you're more personally invested than any of us are. So I still hold mad respect for you Reggie and your prespective. When Ms.Afeni, was alive and publicly called Mr.Garland a “sperm donor and deadbeat”. That’s when Mr.Garland should have spoken up, you don’t wait until someone passes away then state your claim. Now dude adding sauce to the mix because Ms.Afeni nor Pac is here to counter his words. Some of what he says doesn’t add up, reasoning for lawsuit against estate makes no sense. Mr. Afeni was wrong for not disclosing biological Father to Pac, however I believe Ms.Afeni regarding her claims of “deadbeat/abandonment”. There is no way anyone could convince me dude was searching for his son for 15 years and didn’t locate him until release of film “Juice” due to his friend seeing Pac on movie promo photo.🙄 Pops, was looking for a cash grab and decided to tap-in.

I like how Reggie pointed out the colorism aspect. 2pac had told Billy how the family would bully him because he wasn’t as “dark and ugly” as they were and his dad agreed. The women aside from his mom and Aunt Glo that he held near and dear were all very light whether romantic or platonic. Billy May have made Afeni feel some type of way about her looks I know she was made fun of as a child. I gotta agree with you on this one Reggie. Some of the things Billy is saying don't add up. The only way you could "lose track" of your son is if you wasn't checking in on him on a regular basis. I think young people today don't understand how common it was for men, back in the day, to abandon their kids...especially if the man had another family and/or wife. Also it seems a little strange that he is doing interviews now, when Afeni is not here to respond to what he is saying. Like come on Billy...you wasn't talkin all this ish when Afeni was alive cause you know she would have lit you up.

The circumstances under which Tupac was conceived was not the best of conditions, as far as the relationship of Billy and Afeni. That’s they personal business. His perspective is very interesting and necessary in obtaining a complete view of Tupac’s mentality. Growing up in a Black Panther environment is a challenge within itself for both parents and the children (all of them). Good work! The truth doesn’t care who tells it as long as it’s told.

It was more about Pac being in Billy’s care then about the bed wetting. Like he’s a legend, but I remember I used to wipe his nose and play Legos with him. At the end of the day, he don’t get no points for having Pac for a small amount of time when he he was a toddler. Like you said he neglected Pac. Billy knew exactly where Pac lived (The Bronx), so he must of stop visiting and asking for him at some point and never reconnected until he was laid up in the hospital in NY 20 yrs later.

When Afeni was dealing with a “new man” Mutulu (Pac’s sister’s father), they were still in NYC. Billy let about 10 yrs go by without contacting Pac before he left NY Foh!

Afeni having a man had nothing to do with it. He knew people that knew where she was at all times even when she left NY. He CHOSE to stop visiting and taking care of Pac. And let’s say hypothetically he didn’t know where they were, how hard would it be to find someone with the unique name of Tupac Amaru Shakur in the US let alone NY or Baltimore?
