Funny enough this was one of my hardest Master runs so far. Not because Beatrix is bad, but because 70%+ of the matches I've played were Beatrix mirrors. Typical winrate is 80-90%, this was a 75% winrate run. She's insanely popular, I wonder why.

Beatrix could've been the worst character in the game and I'd still main her. I waited too many years for her.

She is OP. Theoretically, you could punish her specials but it is hard to do because they increase your mental stack. You might be expecting a slide but then she does a divekick instead or 66L. There is no catch all button to slow her down. And if you guess wrong, you either eat a big combo or she is in your face with plus frame advantage.

Playing Vaseraga against the swarm of Bea’s has been painful lol. I’ve found spot dodging ground viper and bandit bringer help if they aren’t expecting it. If they are you just kinda gotta deal with it. Though if you see it coming, Vas can anti air command grab the dive kick. Hope this helps any fellow Vaseraga players.

The headache this character gives me man. Her specials have counterplay but there's so much to worry about on defense that I'll be damned if any of it is even reactable

Might be cos i play ferry and need to watch out and react to shit against literally everyone else as well, but i find beatrix to be no different and not really all that bad to fight in general. If anything, the lack of a move to blow u up for 70% midscreen and stubby normals makes her feel a lot fairer than some of the cast.

I came back from Combo Breaker sitting with a S++5 Metera. After a few days, I got dropped to S+4 and at one point dropped all the way back to S1. I don't know what to do against this character beside stick out 2M and hope they run into it...😐

This is cool and all but I’m still waiting for the soriz to masters video 💪

I think that to fight her well, you have to have a character who has the normals to lock her in place. No version of Riding Free (which is the perfect name for that bullshot move) has invisibility on start, so I found myself stopping her in her tracks with well place buttons before she could low profile the move. I watched a japanese player in replays who was able to apply alot of pressure and keep Beatrix from going crazy.

finally stopping playing my og main Charlotta, after all beatrix does the same stuff in 10 times better and have more usefull tools, she s kind of a super sayan version of it

One thing not mentionned in the video is that you cannot fuzzy block the auto combo overhead because 22L is literally the same startup frames (18f)

Nah that’s just how dlc characters are in arcsys games sometimes. The blazblue dlc characters were very broken before they got the nerf bat treatment. This is not as obnoxious as Kokonoe, but very close because of how braindead easy she is.

@@redReiRei The last 3 DLC characters have been much more tame. Lucy, Vane, and 2B (the strongest of these by a long shot) all do actually have a designed weakness at least. You can run over lucy since the snowball goes both ways, Vane is too straightforward and his pressure kinda sucks, 2B doesnt play Granblue at all and lacks dash normals (granted she has tekken strings so its not like this matters too much). I was hoping the overall character power would be adjusted in that direction. Interestingly, Beatrix is the first DLC character with a meterless reversal.

I've misspaced my jump against Beatrix and got anti-aired by the fireball while it was lingering in front of her

Some other thing I didnt see mentioned: 22M counter hit leads to c.M combos midscreen Throws anywhere can be autotimed for safejump j.U Her supers in corner leads to safejump as well Also you mentioned this but to elaborate light DP in corner on an in-air opponent leads to safejump f.H into 22L Leads to frametrap while f.H into 22M leads to plus frames Her optimal combo from corner with light starter does 8000 damage costing 100 meter and not needing the slowdown. Anywhere halfway from the wall will lead to corner combos that do at least 5000 damage with safejump Any hit can lead to a 5000+ damage combo in general with just EX moves (since 236H leads to f.L into 22H) Ironically the delta time mechanic feels the most balanced part to me

If your curious of the route I've been using in corner. c.L/c.M/c.H -> 236H -> c.M -> 214H -> c.M -> M+H -> c.H -> 22H -> c.H H -> Skybound Art. As far as I can tell this is optimal and does close to 9k damage

as far as i can tell optimal corner (without delta time) is close starter -> 236H -> c.M -> 214H -> c.M -> M+H -> c.H -> 22H -> c.H H -> super. Does at least 8310 dmg but can do more depending on starter and which super. For instance off of c.H starter and super skybound you get 10560

My favorite part of her is the 50/50 she has in the corner... after the heavy Thunderbird you can either continue combo with advantage, or if you expect them to dodge/brave counter, U grab.

If you are in the corner and she does heavy or medium thunderbird while you're blocking you can just walk out of the corner and get a punish. Please spread the word on hold right tech.

She is strong no doubt, but you got characters like Seg or Six in this game that is also degen. Her options are also more limited against characters with grounded based projectiles

She joins a very exclusive club that has seldom few members outside of Guilty Gear. She is an Unga Bunga character.

I dont find her too bad. She generally has pretty easy counterplay and while she has a lot of corner carry, she doesnt have fullscreen moves that blow u up for 70% midscreen. It might be because of who i play, but i feel no different fighting her and needing to watch out for what she does, cos i need to do that anyway vs literally everyone else or i just die. If anything, for me, the lack of a move to blow u up for 70% midscreen that I cannot contest and stubby normals makes her feel a lot fairer than some of the cast.

I think it depends on the dub. I like the one for Strive and Blazblue but I'm not the biggest fan of the Granblue one. Prefer how a lot of the JP actors sell the character.

Characters who could link 5M before the change still can. Zeta and Nier can still do it, for instance.
