For a DIY build like this, that roof has got to be one of the best installations I've ever seen. Such attention to detail, that roof won't leak and looks like it will last 100 years! Simply outstanding work on this cabin.

Glad to see you take your time and not rushing. You may want to consider using a back brace, which might help you in later years from having back problems. Bjorn, the cabin is looking Awesome. Boy it seems like y'all get a lot of rain. Love the wildlife, birds, bees the water. Were those geese? beautiful sunflowers! wow look at those honeybees!! What are the gray birds in the water? That is a weird red mushroom! is it poisonous? Love the pond, and the morning glory. Love the little chickadee that you got on the tree that was grayish/black beak gray head and brown on top of wings. It sounds like you have a crow in the background! What a nice job on the Roof shingling Bjorn!

Bjorn, the roof looks great! Anyday I see that you have posted a video I know is going to be a good day. It is so inspiring to see you raise these structures out of the forest, you find a beautiful setting and then create a piece of art to further compliment it. You always use your filming skills to capture the wildlife surrounding you to highlight why you do this and help us better appreciate you. So glad you are done with the roof and don’t have to worry about your safety, yet you are so at ease working with height. Now if we can only get you the ideal weather to work in to make your life a bit easier! Take care, be safe.

Your roof is very wind-resistant side-to-side, but not wind-resistant at all end-to-end. There is no triangulation between the rafters! Easy to fix: Just nail on a few diagonal 2x4s from the top of the end rafter down to the bottom of another rafter. Repeat three times so all four corners have a diagonal support rafter. This will make you whole roof much much stronger. I see this detail left out of a lot of the DIY builds, but it's always in the engineered ones for a good reason.

This is awesome. You are doing a fantastic job. Your home is going to be very beautiful when you are done with the building. Many blessings and keep safe 🙏

You're a beekeeper, so am I, just a small yard, mainly for pollination and just enough honey that I don't have to buy it. It's hard getting them through the winters where I live, a lot of lost hives. Great progress on the homestead!!! Stay safe 🙏

Roof turned out wonderfully, the homestead is coming along spot on. I remember putting my roof on and I had hit my thumb so many time I swore if I hit it one more time it would explode, I had to change to other fingers and our lovely friends the mosquitoes tried to carry me away, do i remember those days, great but not alway fun. You just keep the spirits up and soon it will get done, and if you need a brake take one, yes it will be hard to get back the momentum that when you do just one thing than that wasn't so hard, the next day you find you do two things and that was kinda easy, on and on from there, trust me your doing a great job. A big hug and lots of love. Afriend.

I like that Bjorn is very methodical. He takes his time to do things right. He uses a high degree of common sense, something very rare in Humans these days, especially young ones like Bjorn Brenton. Furthermore, he is careful with his measurements, measure twice, cut once. And he can cook up a storm. He'd make someone, gay or straight, a great husband and provider. And on top of all of that, he is 5-star eye candy. (grins) 😉
