Had a motorcycle, or motorbike for my English friends lol, accident putting me in a bad way physically, mentally financially. Kev you and your constant positivity have kept me going. Finally saved up and bought some tickets. Couldn't miss out on a chance to win not just some RC but an RC from THE Kevin Talbot. Cheers from Delaware, USA. we had been eyeing the Ryft for the longest time, but it just seems to fit a very specific use case with less all around fun as other crawlers and bashers. we always appreciate you spending your time and money helping us to figure out how to spend ours. :)

My win currently goes to the Ryft. It’s not as good of a crawler but leaping boulder to boulder with lots of tumble wumbles in the mix is more fun to watch. And the car is an exact replica of real rock bouncers and they just look awesome. I want a real one.

The Ryft is one of my favorite RC of all time. I used to really love my Bomber but it just didn't handle high speed that well without a ton off mods. The Ryft with the right motor does it all. I didn't even bother building the 2 speed because I heard it has issues. A single speed with a killer sensored setup is pretty rock solid. Also this thing eats low powered servos, just like the Bomber and Wraith did before it. 2.2 need beefy servos.

That rock bouncer has had lots of love, I can see you really like it, it seems cool.

Ryft driven like it should! Well done 👍 Its one of the most technically difficult to rig to drive and predict 😅

Great bet! If you lose, you can offload that junker and make your pal fix it! Also, Mini Rob is too cute mimicking his Pop. Glad you included that in the edit, part of what makes RC great.

@@RCMannYesMateHow old is he? He looks pretty young to have that good of hand/eye coordination! My oldest boy put a hole in their play set "house" part with the 2wd Traxxas Stampede with an Integy roll cage on it. He was all throttle no steer!

Yeah, I'm happy with mine, I spent the same amount $$$ as well though. Treal round trip, 38/13 front and rear diffs with lockers. Locked all Diffs, 15 tooth pinion and a Castle Mamba ESC motor Combo 2400. Can go slow and fast. USD Stickies on beadlocks to put the cherry on top. The only thing plastic that's left on mine is the roll cage, ESC and Weight Box.

Gotta give it to you kev. Rob knows what he doing there and you got more challenges done.

hi kevin, great video! love the ryft. i built a kit version. i burned the spectrum servo before i got it to shift high low during the bench test. i got a power hd tr4 servo that fits the trx-4 and a servo hgorn kit for the axial scx 10 2 . hope this helps that servo is cramed in tight and the horn splines are weird to fit anything else

Have a ryft as well and it has lately been my favorite trail bash crawler! Running a sensored system and two speed so low gear actually works well for crawling but also high gear isn’t going to blow the tires off either

5:15 the only way to get up that to to get all your speed before the hill and slow down as you go up the hill so all weight of the car gets forced against the rock.

My science teacher is from the Isle of Man and always goes on about how nice it is there. I don’t think she knows why she moved to the UK lol

I actually really like my Ryft. I put in a Castle Mamba X 6s system in it but I never run it on 6s. 4S at the most and that still gets stupid fast. About 40mph. Anyway, I changed the pinion an spur to give it better low speed control and for the most part, i have no cogging. I take in on what I call Hike and Crawl with some friends and people In my community and I does very well as a crawler.

Not exactly having the best of days today. TL:DR forgot to fill out an application for a volunteer position. Watching your videos to "take the load off". Love your content

Can we get an island tour. Where you get your morning coffee and some local hot spots.

I have some upgrades on it so it’s not completely stock but the motor and ESC are crazy

Challenge: take a 8S Creighton and upgrade the heck out of it and give it to a random kid at the park and see if he can break it

Literally not even a challenge, some random kid could just get a bad launch off a jump and crash it

When a remote control car the same size as you is heading right at you mid air and your dad takes cover🤷‍♂️

I can’t believe they each had $3,000 into those crawlers, they didn’t even look THAT much more capable then a stock TRX4, they looked equal to a TRX4 with some bolt ons…

The thing with those they are really meant to be put in front of a hill and go up it that’s it the geometry of the links are meant for vertical impact it’s a purpose built rc a lot of people try to use it the wrong way, it’s not meant to go slow and it’s not meant to go that fast despite the 4s capabilities. They are to high from the factory I drilled the centre of the lower shock perch out so the perch sat on the ball end part of the shock

Luv my ryft have the diffs locked up need to shim the front still clicks now and then grrrr 😊

hay kev. you need to start over with a RBX10 kit, Gray. and start by dying the chassis with Rit Dye. You could customize the paint scheme, and make it unique. dipping it in several angles and colors, and with patients it would look kewl. Have Fun.

$500 for rc tires? 🤣 I just paid $210 for 4 brand new tires for my Toyota Corolla. This is why I watch, cause I surely can’t afford to play!

you should make the arma notorious extreme by putting the mamba 8s in it and other extreme upgrades. also im subed who wouldnt you are the best rc youtuber by far.

Put a sensor motor esc or just a 10T brushed motor and 3s esc works great
