Nail tech here, keep in mind your nails can also be naturally flimsy after removal due to the chemicals used ! After 24 hrs, they will be a bit sturdier once all the chemicals have been aired out/evaporated/washed off! I learned this in school! Especially after acrylics removal

File, file, file! You want the thinnest layer you are comfortable getting before the acetone wrap. Personally I don't need to wear them more than 5 minutes before the gel just falls off. If your gel isn't falling off, use a hand file then wrap them again. Never should any force be needed to remove gels. They should essentially fall off

The only way that press on can be reused are if you put them with the sticky tabs, if your using glue they has to be soak off with acetone, because if you rip them off the press on is going to take away layers of your nails, so please use and remove them correctly (bad English alert)(I'm a nail tech)

That’s not true (I’m also a nail tech). They can still come off with warm/hot water, soap, and cuticle oil. Her issue was the layer of builder gel the press on was attached to. Of course with that it needs to either be drilled or acetone soaked off.

Omg I def recommend if you want press on nails to last, do your usual nail prep, with dehydrator and primer, gel base coat, and add a layer of builder gel, once that is cured in the lamp then you wipe off the nail with alcohol, then you buff lightly at the builder gel layer, then buff under the press on nail, add nail glue to the press on nail and press on for abt 20 seconds then boom your nails do not come off…. I learned the hard way exactly what she did in this vid.

Builder gel is meant to be its own enhancement, usually to help with thin nails. You cannot soak it off and it has to be filed off so it is like a double edge sword. For it to work you have to commit to it. If you use it as a base for press ons you're in trouble cause that's not what it is meant for. It's supposed to protect your nails from more damage but with builder gel you use gel polish on top, never another enhancement like fake nails. So using anything other than gel polish on top of builder gel will damage your nails.

The rubber base kept on your nails even in this condition? I'm kinda scared to put something on again because if it also comes off I'm afraid it wil peel off the last layers of the nail (I noticed that every time I remove the gel with acetone thing layers of the nail come off also). Were your nails this damaged too?

@@nijmegenares I'm not sure if mine were that thin, although they've definitely been super thin. Maybe there's videos of ppl using it on damaged nails, I haven't looked! Good luck ❤️ I hope something works for you

Then you should use builder gel underneath the press-ons, like she did. Why do people have problems comprehending the gist of a 30 sec clip?

For press on you need to wait like a week for the glue to come of by it's self then you can take it of with a tooth pick or start taking the edge of the nail of the pull it of

I know how to help them get better so first try not to put fake nails on let your nails breath. Then when they are healed still don't put fake nails on and if you want to put fake nails on do it once a year not every day. And that's it I hope that helps😊

GIRLIE u soaking them in acetone made me die inside the way they dry out 😭 also due to the lack of oxygen on your nails they will naturally get flimsy and brittle

Your nails weren't completely damaged. They become elastic after the use of aceton but they will recover fully. Don't worry

Hey! I can’t speak on your nails because they might not be the same strength as mine but I’ve found that semi-cured gel strips come off so easy after being soaked in hot water for a bit!

If you use them correctly and remove them in the way they're supposed to be removed(not ripping them off your nails) you shouldn't have any problem with them most of the time is not the product that damage your nail is the prep and removal that does (bad English alert)
