As I watched these 3 games I thought of ways I would think would be interesting. Platwormer: gain control of Mount Martin after reaching the top. Pose Fight: Start with small enemies that disappear/run away after taking enough damage (dmg = originality + words + word combo + etc) enemies get bigger as you go or shrink as you curse them out. Beyblade: start at the outside edge with a pull toward the center determined similarly to start ups in mario cart while adding stats (health, speed, push, deflect, etc.) as variable or changeable by accessories. Blades in the match can get bonuses to stats through powerup zones or by eliminating other players

I wonder if you could improve the performance in the beyblade one with either ECS or clever batching. I feel like you'd have more luck with batching since it seems to mostly be a render bottleneck. 2:04 now that’s interesting. I don’t know if you do horror games, but I can totally see a body horror game where it’s made from essentially breaking the models this way. Or like, a mix of just pivoting the wrong joint and like, AI generated images, where objects tend to.. blend together at the edges. Running a hand through your hair only to find it’s now stuck to your scalp, you pull and find your fingers stretch out and are stuck to your head and transition into hair the closer it is to your head If you wanted to bring levity to it, the main character could be like, made of clay.

Thanks Vae_! Hmmm difficult to sum it up in one neat answer, but I just try to separate all of the motions out as cleanly as possible, For example I don't think there's any more than 3 keyframes on any part of the body, all of the motion is in how I adjusted the positions and handles of those keyframes to get the right curve, then it's just a matter of offsetting all the motions correctly to get the weight and timing to look right. Also get the contacts right, arms widest on the down frame etc, basically all the rules that are taught in Richard Williams' Animator's Survival Kit :)
