I have a question, how difficult would it be to repair a on board satnav computer from a E39 BMW 5 series? But IG w/o knowing what's wrong w/ one it's hard to say.

Hi TAGG, you used 32bit Memtest86+. If you use 64bit, then it should be even easier to identify the failing chip. DDR interface is 64bits so Memtest 64bits maps 1:1.

Yeah, slight issue i could never get 64bit one to work...

Can this method be applied on the newer RAMs like ddr3 and ddr4?

For DDR3 it works exactly the same, but there's better ways to do it, i will do a video on that eventually... DDR4 idk.

@@taggxoc that will be awesome, looking forward to it. Memtest86 (not the open source one) on its later version has the feature that can tell exactly which chip gives the errors but locked behind $2500.

The short version is just get a r4black or in a pinch a r4extreme, avoid anything evga for that gen, all the other boards are just sorta meh but not terrible.
