Carter deserves someone who should explained the situations properly. Keeping the promise not to tell anyone is good but he is her bf; whether he may be dumb to notice his dad's dirty works or his innocence is hurting her; having feelings for someone else means Janet wasn't loyal to Carter and their bond wasn't strong enough to clear out the misunderstandings. I think we all need part 2 for new Carter's happy ending with the person he deserves :)

There are exceptions but still . It didn't feel natural and he didn't kiss her with consent , I think Janet should've stayed friends with him better . Overall it's a nice story , I like how it focused on the investigation, the romance at the end felt out of place but I will give I a pass
