I made my Apprentice Cry!

Currently building knives in AEB-L Stainless which I love working with.
Turns out to be an exceptional steel, tough with good edge retention and less prone to rusting the carbon tool steels.
I don't take orders just build knives in the time I have available and offer them for sale on the website www.jacklore.com
Check my instagram and I will also post a quick video here when I next have some knives available.
The knives are all hand made and in small numbers

Those are beautiful hand made tools Sandy. Keep family as close as possible in troubled times. The world is a little crazy on this side of the pond.

The wee lad will grow into you Sandy, so don't fret. 👍🏼 When you hold up six classics with tapered tangs butted tight together and fanned out like that, it really does showcase the level of consistency you achieve in your tapers. Marvelous. 😀

Awesome to see the apprentice even if he is cranky. Grandkids are gems. Very nice to see what you are working on. Yes sir, you are a very busy man with two channels, the love of your life and a grandson. Good thing you are in such good shape. Thanks for sharing. Tony.

Oh, Sandy, as a loooong time viewer, it is still, as always, such a pleasure for me when a video from either of your channels pops up. I must say, although I enjoyed seeing your grandson, I was even happier to see how much better your left eye looks, and what a difference it makes to the expressivity of your face. You look so much heartier and happier than when the 'coin' was in the lid. Cheers to you. How I wish I knew how get one of your knives. They are works of art that I couldn't NOT put to use.

Nice work Sandy! I've been dabbling in AEB-L as well. It heat treats well, and seems to make a fine blade with rather balanced qualities. Less expensive than powdered metals as well.

Hope you can knock up a video at some point on the stainless steel. Your mosaic pins look awesome...some people out there are in for a treat. Atb as always

Not much difference between the two steels Martin but sf100 from my supplier only comes in 3mm thickness whereas I can get AEB-L in both 3mm and 4mm so good for all my range of knives:)
