I disagree, Mario is the one getting ambushed and captured out of carelessness, Luigi meanwhile is more cautious, and I don't recall him screaming as much in Luigi's Mansion 3 as much as 1. He's quite brave, even in spite of his fear.

With Peach, i think it would be worth stocking up on false lashes, which you can just cut to size- I'm sure they'd also make good whiskers. Also giving peach some colour on her lips might have helped feminise the features a bit more

Seeing the iconic mushrooms of mario inrerpretted as a cordyceps fungus is pretty gnarly but so freaking clever considering the last of us is in full swing. Love it

artists do make mistakes . even the top best artist in the world.. when they look with xrays into pictures in galleries there are painting under them. the ones they made a mistake on. mona lisa has a painting under it. I know i dont show my mistakes as much . but i have a box full of sculptors that went wrong, an i dont have the heart to bin them yet.

I cannot say enough how much I love this idea! The thought that the mushroom kingdom could be affected by some kind of cordycepts modification of the normal red and green shrooms is beautiful, and I can only imagine it started with a special subbreed of toad. They ARE living mushrooms, after all, right! Also... FEAR LUIGI!! He shall fungi you all!

This story of them surviving all these other zombies and finally stumbling into Luigi and finding out that he's a clicker is terrifying. I'm impressed.

i love how straight forward these titles are.

The Mario Brothers, The Last of Us mashup I never knew I needed. I would play the hell out of a game like this. Because of certain medical issues, I'd barely make it a month. This somehow manages to feel frightening, funny, and tragic all at the same time.

This made me dive into why his mustache is black and hair brown, found this from Miyamoto: This goes into [a] technical explanation of the number of colors that you could use in the early days. Mario was originally red, blue, white, and black. Maybe it was around the time of Super Mario Bros. 3 that we changed his hair to a different color. What really happened was that, when drawing the character, it became much easier to draw the mustache as an extension of the outline of his nose. Using that same color of black, we drew the mustache. But then we felt bad for Mario that he didn't have a distinct hair color, so we gave him brown hair.

i think an underappreciated part of your art is the bases. your sculptures are awesome, but those bases are always more than a base- they're also part of the work, a background of sorts. it always ties the whole thing together and i think that's neat :3

It's obvious why/how he came up with the idea, but still a very creative idea none the less haha

So two things: 1. I am consistently impressed with how much work and dedication goes into your projects, and this one is no different- it probably tops my list of favorites! 2. In a post mushroom apocalypse I’d be gone in the first week. Probably the first half of the week if I’m honest.

Peach's dress being a grungy red is actually perfect cause it looks like she has gotten it dirty from years of surviving.

Honestly, it’s refreshing to see someone else do things like testing to see if things work on the actual project, instead of a sample. It’s not a good habit, but it’s nice to see the transparency of an artist making their projects. :) it’s nice to watch while I work, and it makes me feel a bit better when I make a mistake.

Turns out I *did* need a Last of Us / Super Mario mashup in my life. Always fun to see what you come up with each week!

This one is definitely up there in terms of your best works! Super well done, creepy as hell and I love it. I think if I were in a post-mushroom-apocalypse I would survive about as long as it took to quietly sneak to the nearest grocery store, where I would almost certainly be promptly killed while trying to take the last can of beans or something by someone who wanted them more. C'est la vie!

This is a much more realistic take on the apocalypse scenario. Everyone always assumes that they're gonna be the main character when there's a 90% chance of being killed. You can be armed to the teeth and still be a goner from getting infected once or simply just being shot and killed.

Imagine being adam and waking up in the middle of the night and being terrified by his own creations.

Everyone dunks on Luigi for getting bitten like Yeah, He got bite from his psychopathic brother Mario throwing him under the bus yet again! For a princess who, for all his simping, seems to end up at Bowser's Castle twice a week getting "kidnapped"

I would die immediately in a mario apocalyptic scenario lol. I am so amazed by your creations, you never fail to blow my mind with the masterpieces you create!

Well, considering most of the Mario franchise takes place in the MUSHROOM kingdom, I don’t think anyone would survive the fungalypse for very long. And if I take into consideration how quietly I can go up and down stairs…. I’d give myself maybe 30 seconds from first clicker-contact Incredible as always, Adam! I can’t even begin to imagine the kind of patience and determination it must take to make something like this, especially with all the little repeating mushroom caps

I'd probably die to the first goomba I came across in a non-apocalyptic mario world, let alone a post-apocalyptic one. Amazing job on the diorama as always!

I was genuinely surprised just how great Luigi turned out! I've watched a fair few of your videos before but this really blew me away

We thought of a story for this one Story: long ago, in the mushroom kingdom, Mario and Luigi were having fun with each other, both decided to join Princess Peach in her castle. Until one day, the mushrooms that the brothers normally consume, turn those who touch them into Mushroom Zombies, both of them were shocked and scared like none other. Unfortunately Luigi fell victim to the mushrooms, Mario could do nothing but watch as his brother was consumed by the mushrooms, with Luigi's last breath he said "Mario.. help.. me" Mario had no choice but to leave him, he ran to save Peach from her zombified servants. Years later in the future, the mushroom kingdom has fallen, while trying to escape, they encounter an old friend

Part 2 Story: Years passed by, Mario and Peach were leaving the remains of Bowser's castle, in search of supplies, while leaving, Mushroom Zombies were on them. The fight was a blood bath, but in the end, the two had survived. Mario and Peach were tired and tried to rest, but luck was not on their side, Clickers were on them, the two were doing their best to keep quiet, they peeked through the wall to find Clickers of all kinds, Toad, Bowser's son, Donkey Kong, but the one who stood out from the others, was the first, Luigi. Mario was horrified by seeing what his brother had become, Peach couldn't believe seeing them all like this, a fate worse than death. The remaining Clickers has left after Mario misdirected them, but Luigi had developed smarter and stronger, and knew it was a distraction. Mario and Peach were up against the monster that was once by their side, they navigated away from Luigi, but he had caught up with them, Peach was scared to the bone that she couldn't move, Mario instructed Peach to stay quiet, so that Luigi wouldn't hear them.

I think that the strawberry jam didn't look dark enough, but despite this I still really love this craft, I think that it's super creative and that you did a really good job ❤️

It might be weird to say for something like this, but this piece is beautiful. Everything is super detailed and accurate to the source material. Also, the zombie virus being caused by mushrooms is an awesome and creative touch. As to how long I would last in a post-apocalyptic mushroom kingdom, no.

I love how you can somehow so easily make things that seem nice and kid friendly into horrifying creations. Too bad my boy Luigi had to be the one taken over. I think I’d last about two weeks in a Mario mushroom apocalypse, before getting Bill Murray’d.

Honestly, I’d last a few seconds, something or other would pop up behind me, I’d scream and then get eaten or smt. Even just in a normal Mario world the same thing would probably happen. Speaking of which, MARIO!? HOW!? He just casually jumps, what, hundreds of blocks in a day, hardly moves his legs, all without breaking a sweat, and hits his head on blocks INCREDIBLY HARD. Plumber man got some skills. Anyways, an awesome sculpture as always, massive inspiration and I hope you have a wonderful week!

I would probably die within the first week unless I had someone who I could make protect me. Also, this looks AMAZING. I know you kind of talk yourself down about your art but there are so many things that make it really impressive: you put a lot of time into it, you picked an expensive medium to work with, and you care about the tiny, nerdy things you make. anyway, love your channel, Adam!

Realistically I think I could survive a solid couple months but I know better than to say I’d be a Rick Grimes of the apocalypse. Id definitely go down from a basic infection or something lame. Been binging your content for a while now and I’ve genuinely never been so obsessed with an art form especially with how (disturbingly) creative you can be. This is absolutely my favorite so far with the incredibly horrifying M&M in close second ❤️

Awesome concept! I was thinking it would either be Luigi or Toad. But it's kinda redundant with Toad lol. Your arrangement is tense and feels very true to the games

I wonder how much worse everything gets once the purple poison mushrooms start sprouting. Idk how long I'd last in this fungal kingdom, but I'd make it my mission to obtain as many golden stars as possible. A brief moment of invincibility would go a long way. Fantastic work. This piece would definitely be among the more unique things someone could showcase.

Imagine a bunch of zombie toads chasing Luigi explaining how she turned

imagine in the future the cordyceps fungus evolves to be able to infect people, then a survivor raids your house and finds this, thus thinking you predicted the zombie virus.

It's so fun to see your sculpting improve. You've always been great, but this is next level! The Mario mushrooms were a clever touch! And while I like to think I'm a fighter, I'm not very fast, so I'd probably die in the first few days.

Great sculpture! One critique would be that Mario's eyes should be looking more 'up' at Peach, this would also be an opportunity to make him look more worried/afraid. In an apocalypse I would survive a little while because I would think of an incredibly clever place to hide with whatever supplies I can quickly get.... Then I'd slowly die there. Awesome.

I absolutely love the design of this. I really like how you incorporated the mushrooms in Mario as a replacement for Cordyceps, it looks surprisingly freaky. I'd be able to find safety and set myself up with my survival skills, but I'm basically screwed if a crew of scavengers with guns rolls up lol.

Tecnicly in this mushroom kingdom zombie scenario there are no guns, tho there would be things like fireflowers, 1-Ups, and that sorta stuff

The amount of detail in your works is always so impressive, and this one looks so grotesque! Love the small slice of a story playing out. A post-apocalyptic Mario world would probably kill me in a day or two. There's a lot of dangerous stuff there even on a good day, and everything going apocalyptic would have so many deadly traps and monsters that it'd be a miracle for me to last long at all.

Mario is a cold blooded killer that uses his hands

I love how in some of his videos when he uses the rock he's like "ok now gently add texture😌 *Aggressively hits the foam with the rock* " it never makes me not laugh

Incredibly done, as always. I wonder what the story for this in particular is. Looking at it, I had the idea that the question blocks were the source and then I wondered if it was scarier that A, Luigi had been a clicker for a while or B, had broken that question block expecting to find something they can use, only to agonizingly break out and twist before Mario and Peach's eyes.

based on the progression, he's been one for a while, but less than a year. the fungus, on the face, attacks the eyes first, before taking over the nose + morphing the mouth. his mouth and nose are mainly intact, but the fungus growth is already too wide-spread to be considered newly-infected. his clothes are a good indicator, too. older clickers are depicted as having lost their shoes [luigi has his shoes], and his clothing is less roughed/torn, in general.

I will NEVER get tired of the "time to add some rocky texture with...a rock" joke.

I'd survive just long enough that they actually figure out a cure for the zombie plague, only to trip over my own foot and fall down the stairs to my death as I attempt to deliver the antidote to the protagonist's dying daughter.

In my head cannon The roads were sick of being undermined by the heroes of the mushroom kingdom, I mean it’s the MUSHROOM kingdom , so they teamed up with the goombas(also being fed up) and decided to take over everything

I'm fairly certain I would be the first to go in a post-apocalyptic world, and I'm OK with that. Doesn't seem like a great time if you ask me. This is such a cool sculpture, I would love it to even more pieces :)

Great job as always! I think it a lot people forget that the human anatomy is often really correctly displayed. Especially at the dioramas with real humans.

Dude… your Princess Peach looks a bit like Owen Wilson, but your Luigi and the whole premise is BLOODY BRILLIANT. I love it! Oh and I figure on these arthritic knees… I’d give you guys a good 5-10 minute head start on the mushrooms in the classic “I can’t go on, be brave my loves, I’ll buy you as much time as I can!” sort of way… so maybe 15 minutes or so? 😅

In a post mushroom apocalypse I think I would need to sacrifice Yoshi to survive.

Luigi: Hey Mario, I found some mushrooms. Mario: Luigi no!

i like the green ones considering there are 1up mushrooms along with the power up mushrooms. I love the tiny detail you put into these sculptures! Edit: you should combine the realistic mario creatures with this, it would be a cool design.

If someone made a story or animated series on this, I would eat that up! Also your diorama looks amazing holy cow, I love the way you kept the characters cartoony style, while managing to make them creepy at the same time!

I can imagine Luigi getting ambushed and kidnapped by zombies as Mario and peach just talk on a date or something

This looks so awesome! I love the idea of this mashup. I probably would only last like a day in a post apocalyptic mushroom Mario world. I’d feel like with my luck a feral Toad would like bite me on the ankle or something lmao

The toads are the first hosts of the fungus, this fungus eventually mutated from a harmless symbiotic mushroom into a deadly parasitic Cordyceps taking over their minds and eventually entire body eating away the flesh of its hosts. These infected beings will hunt down any flesh that can be consumed for nutrients, any that manage to escape these encounters are doomed to die slowly and painfully as the spores are now inside their system eating them from the inside until reaching the brain where their fate is sealed to wander and consume like the rest of them. Luigi never deserved this, nobody did, but nature does not care for those deserving or not, nature simply does what is required to survive.

You are the reason I'm going into sculpture Adam! I am so inspired by the work you do and work towards getting better every day. I feel like I could survive a while in a Zombie Apocalypse world, I am a total introvert and never leave the house so I would be safe for a while. I also currently live at a college in the middle of nowhere, so I'd be pretty safe here.

Yeah, as an introvert I treat most other people like they are infected with a zombie plague often. I stay the hell away from them.

Missed opportunity to have Mario hold a Supreme brick.

I love that you made the mushrooms red and green! Such a nice detail! Also, I wouldn’t last past the first few days. I work in the medical field and I’m also in the military so I imagine my group would be one of the first to get infected. I’ll try to stay alive as long as I can for the sake of my husband but if he doesn’t make it I’ll probably just surrender and play the villain for the rest of the apocalypse :)

I love how you kept the video game mushrooms and didn't make them like real world mushrooms. Amazing!

Weird timing but reminds me of a video i saw. I dont know if it exists anymore but; It started with Luigi, he had black eyes and would float across the ground in a way where his shoes dragged behind him. He saw Peach, who went up to him in a concerned yet friendly manner, and he ended up eating her basically, it was a super gorey / not gorey scene, but i remember it had the kind of sound effects that made it sound more gorey then it was. After that Peach did the same to Mario, and thats all i really remember. Me and my friend agreed not to speak about it until we reached heaven or some shit, (we were both like 4-6), and when our parents realized what we were watching they put on Nyan Cat and Annoying Orange.

Each piece you make is absolutely fascinating and I always hit your videos as soon as I get the notification. Case in point - it's difficult enough to imagine how you come up with the scenarios, let alone considering all the time you've put in to develop such awesome skills. I'm pretty sure I'd be the idiot who thought the apocalypse was an elaborate radio play, survive about half a week out of luck, and then fall over something loud the second I realized I had to be quiet.

All the lunges mansions games and just how fast Lungi is compared to Mario and its Luigi is the zombie. Luigi really forgot all his training that fast.

Always a blast watching these! Also, this particular creation makes the 1-up mushroom the ultimate paradox 🤔

I looked up “Princess Peach Squatting” specifically because you told me not to. Immediately looking up things I’m told not to is a bad habit.
