A little fast, a little slow, a little left, and a little right - if the lane isn't forgiving, those slight errors will drive you nuts. I thought he found the line with the Idol, then you start leaving 10's. Shift your feet to adjust the entry angle, the pattern doesn't let you. Change balls? Now you need to re-sync and find the line, but by that point, your opponent pulls ahead. On days when you don't match up, you feel it and suffer through it.

Thank you for sharing these even when nothing goes right type of days. Great appreciation for your taking responsibility for the the outcome and your effort right through to the end. You are a great example for anyone engaged in competition.

Good job Darren! Match play is still a huge accomplishment. Clawing closer to that title a day at a time man. Keep it up!

I’ve been trying myself to take the good and the bad from my bowling performances and move forward with what I felt good about and leave behind what didn’t but you being the 🌰 I’m sure you’ll get that breakthrough soon enough and be on television going for those titles before to long 😊🏆

I feel ya DTang, while not bowling the PBA like yourself I've been trying to understand what is happening with my ball motion and carry. It is the weirdest thing because its different balls, different houses and different patterns. I've been trying to stay relaxed, in the moment but it is frustrating when the field is striking and as soon as I try to overcome the shape or carry its a disaster. Keep ya head up buddy, I'm doing so myself and trying to keep the positive outcomes in mind.

Darren, I know you're frustrated. Don't be so hard on yourself. Just this season alone you've improved so much. Start of the season saw you not cracking top 50, last 3 or 4 tourneys you've either made the cash or been right there. Keep head high, you're on the right path

If Darren leaves blower 7s, wrap 10s, half 10s, stone 8s, ripped 9s he always walks back like he threw a strike, no emotion. When Darren underperforms then he gets heated hehe. Keep at it D your window is coming!!

At least the third video that ended with Darren's saying, "I got too far left." So, you know what that means. You're hearing something that the lane's not telling you. Check your notes. Find the shots that tricked you into an improper move left. The ability to play such steep angles is an impressive tool that not everyone has, but over the months, you're telling us that you go to it too often.

You're a great 'tweener' in an era where tweeners have a really tough time being successful. Good luck next time - match play at the Master's is a great accomplishment despite the rough ending.

Watch the film and correct the problem on why you leave a split with a particular bowling ball. Every split reduces your score by 30+ pins.

Probably wrong due to my amateur eye, but when you fell into that line and were consistently heavy, seemed like too much loft on the release? Maybe b/c you were getting frustrated, therefore giving it too much. I do that when I am annoyed, and losing that smooth placement I end up cutting too hard toward the end of the pattern.

I know very little comparatively about bowling...but it looks like the down and in shot is much more consistent. Too many 2-10's and open frames otherwise. I am happy to be schooled on how I am mistaken but just thought I'd throw that out there.

Must be an Asian bug going around because my game was really off last week too. I bowled so bad a 10 year old beat my score with a ball roller. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong because my release and everything was good, didn't change a thing but the ball wasn't going where I wanted and I wasn't scoring well. I chopped it up to having a really bad week but in reality it was probably the oil. That's my story/excuse and i'm sticking to it haha.

Don’t be too hard on yourself, many bowlers didn’t even make match play. A good meal and some sleep will go a long way.

Yea, it's yours to own and you did. You made it to match play and that put you ahead of quite a few. Today was not your day. Nothing worked, nothing you did made a difference. Take it, own it and learn a little from it. Yea, I have no idea what I'm talking about, but a lot of fans just want to say something to help. The rest is up to you.
