Then, create logic in the player character to calc the damage it gives Use an AnimNotify on your animation montage to trigger attack logic for the player so that the AI takes damage at the point on the animation via the box trigger. It's more manageable this way. Let me know if you want a walk through. Also, thanks for the mixamo converter tip. It's helpful.

He's basically making a copy of something that already exists, so he doesn't have to think about most of the stuff the actual dev team had to think about. The Gameplay Design is basically finished and he just has to implement it.

Kool video! Educational for sure. I hope people don’t think this is how games are made. Interesting thing is that you can get a lot done with cut and paste approaches, but with the skills and resources shown here, it would never reach the same level of polish ever (no offense) let alone 5 years. Things that need to be done first are careful planning and design such that the game can scale to a particular hardware budget. Simple approaches to battle systems would have to be rebuilt from scratch as what was shown doesn’t account for so much stuff that would have to be worked out later. With that said, I’m pretty sure the video was more for entertainment purposes and I applaud this content creator as the video was a good laugh.
