I Made A Terrarium For Some Highly Unusual Creatures...
My friends at Micro Exotics sent me some really unusual terrarium inhabitants and I had to make them their own terrarium. These creatures actually eat mold! Check out how cute and chunky they are :D

I saw springtails at Petsmart recently
"I love worm poo" relatable
these red and orange ones are adorable haha, they look like little gummy bears
Are those springtails doing well and reproducing in there? Would be cool to see an update. Great video !!
One of the best channels i have ever seen
its like watching mr. miyagi work when he trims plants lol. and shesh, put anymore crap in there and there wont be room for springtails lol
tip on clean transport springtails in terrarium. cut end of zucchini. dig a little inside with spoon. flip it and place on substrate. wait... take zucchini over terrarium... shake it... and ola! done. I do this when I collect them from forest floor, because there is no springtails for sale in my country. love your channel... keep on rocking!

Someone knows if these Bilobella can live with Rubber Duckies? TIA!
Hey Ben. That looks lovely. How did you get the springtails out when you want to place them in a terrarium? Cucumber feeding method?
Outstanding!!!
This was a treat to watch. I appreciate the time put in to create and share. Lovely little enclosure.
Im going to be making a pumpkin jar terrarium for these and isopods

So pleased to have discovered this channel!💚🌿
I love that you used the word "moist". I bet a lot of women out there are somewhat cringing inside. loool.
I think them Orange spring tail not Red 😊
What is the Verity of java moss I am in Australia and trying to find some
Hi, there is any chance these creatures you put in terrariums aside from snails reproduce like crazy and be a problem like a infestation?
Ok, you sold me on the chunky alien springtails… Love the teeny ferns. Also with the shaking hands (slight schadenfreunde from a person with a tremor).

I highly recommend the springtails! They're my new favourite terrarium inhabitants 🙂
love your videos
I've a worm tower and would watch quite a few videos on how to feed them properly to keep a good biology in your castings, this channel is fantastic i didn't realise how interesting you can make a terrarium with springtales and improve its overall quality too, makes sense as my terrarium didn't have any living creatures to help balance it out.
I dont see the link from the water thing😔
I haven't seen you put any snails in a terrarium. Of course I haven't watched all of your videos.
Aww I think these orange/red springtails are cuter 😊 they seem a bit bigger too
Thank you for using Java moss in this video. I don't see many terrarium builds specifically center around aquatic mosses, and Java and Christmas moss are about the only mosses I have easy access too.

Java moss is one of the most used mosses in terrariums. They are easy adapted to your terrarium and grown pretty quick.

@@monicacarolina6480 gonna have to trim some out of the wife's aquarium and set something simple up to see how it works then :D
Absolutely love this! My Dad has kindly bought me a leaded glass terrarium that is a bit bigger than this. I want to replicate your wonderful idea. Two questions if I can: 1. How has it worked out for the chubby orange beasts? 2. Do you find that any of them escape for an adventure or other critters invade their beautiful home via the gap around the lid?? Thank you again - beautiful work!

This is such good timing. I have a similar jewellery box I’ve been thinking about converting into an isopod colony. I think (if set up correctly) it could work well but I’ve not seen anyone do it before. I think I’m going to give it a try and see how it goes
The springtails kind of remind me of the little worms from James and the giant peach
Whoa, these are neat!
I've been thinking about this for 8months since my granddaughter got her first gecko, show the tiny creatures some love ❤️
I thought springtails would prefer a darker home not glass? Very nice as a terrarium!
OK so I’m still learning a lot in this process to make this soil combination can I go to a local plant nursery and they Have these types of soil’s?
These are very cute in person. I should know. I purchased 10-15 of these last week from another seller. I rehoused them last weekend. Now a day or two later I don’t see them inside the culture I prepared? 🔎 Coincidentally the soil & housing is practically the same as the one in the video, except no live plants. I feed them ground up “Arcadia custodian fuel” & leaf litter. I’m wondering if they’ll ever reappear or have disappeared for good? 🤔
Splendid video!! Which species of spingtails is that?

hi, i'm an italian guy and i ran into you for a while and i have to tell you i love what you do. I already knew "this art" but there are very few Italian people who treat it well so I'm watching your videos and I follow all the posts you make. I would have liked to have your own starter kit but unfortunately you don't ship all the way here to Italy and well .. I wanted to ask you for some advice to get started, what would I need to have a terrarium like yours with insects inside. thank you already now ❤
I love this. Am a fishkeeper, and have also been on a bit of a terrarium kick lately, including some "gathered from nature" jars that sit on the table next to my couch, which have several species of itty bitty critters. Even though I understand how springtails and isopods can be beneficial, I never thought I would enjoy seeing them in the terrarium --- but I do! I check on them several times a day, and ponder what to feed them next, etc. I would love these even more, I think, bc of the way that their bright orange colour "pops" against all the greenery. Once I'm more confident about being able to provide the best environment for them, I'll go ahead and purchase some fancy varieties of springtails and isopods. And in the meantime, I think I have some experimenting to do, gathering cuttings from my aquatic mosses, and adding them to my terrariums!
