I built a bench top multi-vice to use for carving and shaving work. Long-dried oak wood became a strong and convenient vise. This vise will serve in my shop for a long time and be passed down to the next generation. I believe it is possible.

Why is it when i watch the carpenters on KZread they always have brand new tools Most of mine are at least 50 years old now it is great to see it greetings from Ireland

The reason my tools are new is because here in Korea, finding vintage tools is harder than finding new ones. Purchasing new brand tools is easy. Nor do I have anything passed down to me from my father or grandfather. Thank you Greetings from Korea.

Das ist wirklich sehr schön geworden!!! 👍 Trotzdem möchte ich anmerken, ich hätte unten das Basisholz deutlich dicker gewählt, damit man das Holz der Führungen deutlich dicker hätte ausführen können. Aber solange nichts abbricht, geht es natürlich auch so! Hätte da aber auf Dauer halt bedenken. 🤷♂️ Ansonsten aber wie gesagt sehr schön geworden! 👍

Yeah that's pretty special! The dog hole screw attachment is a personal favourite feature, closely followed by the leather inlaid handle. Worth every minute spent making it!

I love the handle. I'm replacing my iron handle with a wood wheel, too. From the picture, I thought the leather on the wheel was walnut.
