For today's video I took apart an old used dell lcd monitor and with a lot of effort time and money I was able to turn it into a beautifully mesmerizing infinity monitor display. The infinity effect is done with the use of two one way mirrors no camera tricks here! I began by stripping apart the LCD monitor. It went smoothly until I completely broke the LCD panel and it wouldn't stop flashing and it wouldn't display the whole screen lol. Instead of giving up and scrapping the video or turning it into something else I decided I was going to complete my goal no mater what. I went back to the same seller on eBay and bought two more of the same monitor just in case I broke one more when taking it apart I wanted the insurance. While I was waiting for the arrival of the new monitors I began to build the housing for my custom built infinity mirror monitor. I took some popular wood pieces cut them all to size and them screwed it all into there correct place. It was beginning to take shape. Once I had the housing for the LCD panel and the mirrors built. I went ahead and made a new enclosure for the power supply out of a tupperware container. I though it turned out nicely. I cant even count the amount of projects that Ive used containers like that for. I absolutely love them for electronics. Now it was time to try the monitor set up with the broken LCD panel. I planned on using a mirror then LCD panel then one way mirror and a light source to produce the infinity effect. I set it up and turned it on and nope it was terrible not good at all. Honestly I was super disappointed that it didn't work with the first go. To cheer myself up I began to just have fun with the broken panel by playing with the polarizing filters. It was so cool to see a blank white screen completely light up with color when you just hold up a piece of plastic ( a polarizing filter) in front of it. It was like magic. And it was also a transparent LCD panel witch was amazing in itself. I really learned a lot about how LCD monitors work from this whole experience. After some fun I was back to the task at hand and it as not looking good. I though making my infinity monitor was going to be impossible. But after a good night sleep after working on it until like 3 in the morning. A brilliant idea hit me! I was to use two one way mirrors and place the LCD and backlight behind it. And presto! I knew it would work! I was pumped. I then updated the design on my monitor housing to fit my changes in plan. I then began to wood stain the whole thing. I also got a little carried away and wood stained some Magic The Gathering cards as well as a broken Xbox controller lol. I doubt anyone has ever done that before lol. After I stained it all it looked super professional! I was thrilled!! I got my new used monitors in the mail and began to instantly take one apart. I slapped it all together plugged it all in and fired it up! IT WORKED!!! I was so excited!! My vision was fulfilled. It took so much longer that I was expecting but it was beautiful. It was a true infinity mirror monitor at 1080p that I could play any media on it. It was a complete success! Now I went ahead and tested it all and really just had some fun with it. It works best at night and in low light due to the mirrors nature of reflection. It was hard for the camera to focus and pick up how it truly looked in person but I still believe the video will do it justice. It was so amazing to look at. It almost looks like the images are three dimensional. Ive never seen anything like it. I am so happy it all worked out in the end. This was a huge challenge to make and I really hope you enjoyed the process with me. I learn something new every day! Thanks for taking the time to check out my channel and videos :D. Just remember always keep on pushing and never give up even when things seem impossible. If I can do it so can you!
Much love - Quiet

Super neat how the monitor was blank without the polarizing film you could replace the lens of some old glasses and be able to privately surf the web in a public place since everyone else would old see a white screen

1 idea. make the monitor with monitor screen, but put a lot of them together. this would create a soft transition, making it looks like a snake, from any angle

I think you should do something futuristic looking with the back window like an infinity mirror with an oled display known as an infinity monitor, or just an infinity mirror with some cool effects with leds. Something more futuristic that will match the car

@@QuietNerd What if you put the mirrors closer, or even make them adjustable, who knows, you might get a 3d affect, not sure how the DS does it or that one company making 3D monitors using mirros I believe.

Hey!! I had this idea today and glad you already did it! What I find cool about the first setup theoretically when you put black on the screen it should block the reflection right? Then with your finished one, what would happen if you kept the backlight behind the back one way mirror but put the lcd "screen" between the two mirrors? I might just try that myself :) Tell me if you've tried it!

Thank you :D I'm glad you think its awesome as well! It a good idea but I don't really have the funds for something like that at the moment. I believe patents can be very very expensive like at least thousands of $ for one. But ill look into it for fun

@@QuietNerd No he's 100% right dude, Patent this asap! Idk what that 'give send go' thing he mentioned is _(haven't got the chance to look it up yet guessing it might be a project funding site..??)_ but you should REALLY seriously look into patents & how they work, how to obtain, etc, ect, & start saving $$ privately (maybe even take this video showing your creation & the process/ steps/ tools etc DOWN or Private it so NO one can steal, copy, or go manufacture your idea/ creation (using directions from your own video), upgrade it & get rich or famous off of it (you KNOW how corrupt this world is, so protect your creativity/ hardwork & Block that from ever happening while you still can 🙏). Do you know how many frkn places would buy this product from you? : (Casinos, Nightclubs, Specialty Movie theaters, Stadiums/Arenas, Event Venues, Concerts, Limousines & Party buses or Tour buses, Stripclubs, wealthy ppl with home theaters or just everyday regular ppl wanting to Rent some of these for their private parties. I've had *3* inventions & product innovations stolen from me over 16 yrs, (2 in the late 90's & the last 1 happened in the early 2000's). It was/is physically nauseating for me to look in stores, magazines & catalogues (90's) & Nowadays online & still SEE my inventions & innovations being sold with some companys names on MY stuff (1 of them is a popular cutthroat Big phone/Tech brand but wont go into anymore detail). Please PROTECT your creations man.

Nice i love it but try make it like a stargate and with some led and experiment with some different depth of the mirror screens and then use something like a portal on the screen and then use an other screen and console or make it like screen 2 at the end you know in the back to show into an other world or dimension 🤔😁
