Should have scrapped all the worthless Harry Potter books.

Man your personality and work is very uplifting. your builds don’t make me puzzled or seem too complex and they give me confidence that I can make the exact same things you do. I mean no disrespect by that I just like the simplicity in your work. I’m a novice DIYer so Great work my friend

I think it is funny because removing those three pieces of trim and hiding them in the closet to reattach later is a much simpler move than painting the trim only to have to paint it again later.

Well done! This was a very simple and straightforward approach. It works surprisingly well. Something that would make it seem more like just a bookcase would be another piece alongside it, but in this case that would be difficult to pull off. As always, I'm amazed at your ingenuity and creativity. It was a bit of a wait for this video, but it was worth it!

I do think that additional trim on the bookcase would help conceal it as a door. So would another closet. All you need is a mansion and a few nails!

Something I've always wanted to do and thank you for breaking my afternoon you made a wonderful video. Keep up the good work I hope you're having fun with it.

I understand you are apparently renting, so you can't modify the trim but that Idea is a natural. Thank you for the ingenious door idea. i know you said you cant take off the trim which means you probably cant switch the way the door opens but if you could flip the door so it opens from the left side, this could work really well.

Can i ask if the door handle is just a single one, only on inside of door? Does it work okay not having the handle on the other side to hold the lever bar?

Start with something simple and small. My first one was a coffee table. Each time you make something, you’ll learn a few new things, and before long you realize there isn’t much that you can’t build :) the feeling is very freeing. Also, if something seems complex, build a rough model of it from popsicle sticks or software. Or just draw it. Hope this helps! And don’t forget to share your creation with the world :)

Honestly, if you had someone over and didn't tell them they probably wouldn't notice. Especially after you painted the trim

Please occasionally create a more sophisticated one using a password or fingerprint or eye password

Door dimensions are 30x80" so height wise 6'6 and you seem 4" shorter than that, so I'd say 6'1 to 6'2" at the very least 😉
