I Made A DIY Flag Using Epoxy and Spray Paint For Charity!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Learn how to build a DIY Epoxy Flag Using StoneCoat Countertops. We were asked by the Metropolitan Baltimore Fire Emerald Society to donate some art for their up coming silent auction and we couldn't say no. This is our DIY rendition of the Thin Red Line. We used StoneCoat Countertops Art Coat Epoxy and Dyes to create this DIY one of a kind tribute to the Brother/Sisterhood that is near and dear to our hearts. We added a new feature called "what we did wrong" so you hopefully learn from the mayhem any project we take on creates. We hope you enjoy the video!

Did u guys ever come to a consensus on what to use for the stripes? Vinyl strips?

Hey. I think we feel that if you can get the right size vinyl strips you are better off. The tape is just fine but based on scale you have to make it the right size and it leaves a small residue. Hope that answers your question. Thanks for watching and asking. 🤘🏻

My grandson he is 4 years old and this summer we visited NYC from Arizona and somehow he learned about the USA and the flag. Now he loves the flag. He cried yesterday because he wanted to wear a flag shirt to daycare and mom said no. He ended wearing his flaf shirt to school

Very much nice. What size and where did you pick up the union? My best guess is 12" x 12" size. A new subscriber from Kansas City, MO.

Love this project. I have done numerous flags with resin and this gives me some great ideas. With the top coat tip u were talking about, would you put the stone coat top coat on top Of it or were you talking about doing several flood coats on top? With using vinyl instead of painters tape, would you just use removable vinyl? I appreciate the expert advise as I am trying to perfect my craft. Thx

Hi Jessica! I was talking about doing a few seal coats with layered color before the final flood coat. As for the vinyl, I would suggest getting vinyl strips instead of tape since you can get consistent lines that way. You could use the vinyl if you wanted to for the stripes but you lose the ability to control "opaqueness" of your stripes so I would still spray. Feel free to DM me any time with questions and thanks for watching! 😁

I made a pallet flag, got the whole thing nailed together, flipped it over...and the union was on the right (not left) side because my brain is backwards, evidently.....
