The shrimps coming in were like "So much to do, guys. Let's get started" 😀
I’m about a week into this very expensive hobby and you sir are the reason I’m spending so much money and spending so much time on KZread 😂 your videos are always awesome and entertaining/relaxing to watch. Can you do a budget planted tank soon? That would be great for new people who are just starting and are unsure of their capabilities. Maybe set a price limit and make it a challenge🤙

I agree, I like aquanscaping but I am tight. 😃
man is a magician with aquaecapes. Looks effortlessly brilliant fr
I love Sparking gouramis. Got few of them recently. They are inquisitive little fish. Cheers MJ
I love the orange shrimp with the sparkling gouramis. Such a good combo! I wanna see updates on this one ❤
I think you will find the cherry shrimp in the vase are magnified by the curve of the glass I keep my shrimp in filtered 15 L jars and it makes them appear much larger
It made me so sad when you tore down that beautiful tank, but this one is going to be just as lovely in a whole different way. You do such great work and you capture it so beautifully to share with us. Thank you!
Beautiful! I like your small high tech tanks the most. You’re doing great!
Hope i can be as good at aquascaping as you one day :)😀
I've always wanted a nano desk tank, so i could see life next to my study desk. however my dad is a pond person and we keep everything in ponds outside,. Which to be honest is probably a more open area for the fish but definitely not as aesthetically pleasing when all you see are the floater plants covering up the wood tainted water.

I suggest making “ a best of both worlds” -style nano desktop tank,am starting a few like so now, combining a natural pond ecology (no tech, a biotope : “father fish method” ) + MJ inspired aesthetics under water gardening masterpiece. with natural pond soil capped with undisturbed 2inc sand layer for planting, and some dead leaves and living pond water , added in the water column. never need for gravel, -vacuuming, self cleaning, never water changing, unless overloading the water with fish, -food or fertilizer. the water is living and harmonizing - only top up. No chems. Minimum fish food & No fertilizer in the water column = no algae. Living substrate = natural waste processing for fish & natural CO2 source for plants, more plants = more oxygen and no ammonia & nitrate. & natural base of self feeding living water ecology for the shrimps & all involved.
I love hearing the croaking noises the sparkling gourami make!!! Beautiful scape.
Thanks for this video! I can always count on you for excellent details on your scapes--design thoughts as well as specifics of plants and hardscape and technique. So inspiring too :)

This setup is crazy!! Well done!!
Nice setup, great job!
Noooo, I loved this setup!
Very nice set up.
Just about to setup my 35c cube. Thanks for the inspiration MJ. Beautiful setup as always ❤️
The additional info of the plants used are very helpful, thanks man!
That pinnatifida is just amazing.
Love the red colour of the San Paulo !

Wow another magical scape A joy to watch with my Sunday morning coffee Cheers from Australia ☕️🐠🥰
I love it! They always have your touch. If we lived closer I'd pay you to scape my tank!
Nice❤
I love moss on hardscape
Not gonna lie bro definitely one of my favorites so far, I keep honey gourami's at the moment and I'm planning in a setup for these beauties. Of course keep us posted
Please make a video on small tank Co2 and filter - what brands do you use? Where do you “hide” them especially on the open shelf - amazing videos - thank you !

Nooo that was my favorite tank you had scaped
Want to get into this hobby, super intimidated 😅
Hi MJ, great little scape. Love the sparkling Gourami's, such interesting fish. You will get some hunting behavier from them when the shrimp start to reproduce. Got three sparkling Gourami's with cherry shrimp in my nano tank, they only hunt the tiny shrimp though. Keeps the amount of shrimp somewhat under control.
@MJAquascaping

Yeah that’s what I was thinking as well. These orange shrimp are breeding really fast in one of my other tanks, so if the sparkling gouramis catch a few that’s totally fine.
Anda begitu hebat dalam karya ini
Congratulations on reaching over 100K subs you deserve it 👏 just a word of warning I’ve tried unsuccessfully to keep Sparkling Gourami and Shrimp together, eventually the Gourami will take out the shrimp even the bigger ones! But I do love and still Keep Sparkling Gourami 👍
Where did you get that shelf unit? I love it
Congrats on 100k! Where did you get your stand from that has all your aquariums and plates on? Looks awesome!
Hi mark, About the cherry shrimp in lenght i have multiple neocaradina shrimp and some tanks have smaller shrimp then others i did some research and found something about genetics in the shrimp if you have "smaller" shrimp you always have that lenght as an adult. I never mixed my shrimp (same species) from different shops/breeders. Because of this "DNA" in the shrimp. Have a great weekend! Groetjes Stefan
Awesome tank! Can you possibly do a nano with ONLY sand and root tabs? I want to start my first tank soon with an inert substrate so I don't have to worry too much about substrate affecting my water parameters, especially pH since my tap is mid-high 7.
Awesome videos, what heaters and filters do you use?
Watching this video from wayanad(kerala,india)❤
1:06 pinnatifida - What's the secret to growing red?😮😮😮
Thanks for the beautiful scape! I am curious (if you happen to see this comment) whether there is danger of the sparkling gouramis jumping out (as there appears to be no lid). I am getting into keeping them myself and have been told that they will jump, but they are still new at my place and I haven't seen that behavior yet. Wondering if I'm going to need to make a lid for my setup or not
Thanks for your great content. One of the Anubias developed some Black algae on it. Would love to follow/see how you takle it on this real example
@MJAquascaping
Жыл бұрын
Yeah it had some algae on it when I got this plant. Since I added the shrimp it basically disappeared.
Painting them paints on still I see!
The cube looks very good, congrats for the scape. Was it safe to keep guppies in an open top? Aren't they jumpers?
Hey man, what is the type of cabinet you use for your tanks?
It’s another great video! Btw it will be great to make a video on how you made this really good stone setup as shown on 2:45. I have such stones and was wondering how you plant on them so nicely. The other topic is the size of the shrimps. I also have the same experience- I have some very big cherry and at the same time in a separate aquarium another group which are very healthy but not growing at all. I am very puzzled with that. If someone knows what might be the reason please share. Thanks 🙏 😊
Link for that shelving unit?
I noticed that when I moved some of my baby cherry shrimp from my 7 gallon that has little algae to a tank that has more algae, they seemed to have gotten bigger in the tank with more algae. They got bigger than the babies in the 7 gallon and they were the same age.
Hey MJ I’m doing a dry start atm in a 15l bowl I have an emersed Hygrophila pinnatifida that has 3 strong stems Can I cut them and plant them back in the substrate Will they strike?
We need to know the difference between DIY lighting and custom lighting
What intensity u keep your chihiros wrgb 2? With co2?
Kalau di jawa dipakai utk pelek dan ruji kereta kuda(dokar).tdk mudah patah dan kenyal/liut.
anyone know what shelf that he has all his tanks on?
Isn't a 30cm cube too small for otocinclus? I want some for my 30cm cube but I read everywhere that you at least need a 60cm size.. Also what's the water temperature in your tanks? Are they all without heater?
Can I use ADA Amazonia ver.2 in 2 gallons tank? I would like to make similar scape, but with 1 betta fish
@MJAquascaping
Жыл бұрын
Absolutely
Rookie question. Can you use a normal air pump to add CO2 to the water? Instead of pure CO2 , air has around 0.04% CO2 but of course the pump administers it at ~100 times the volume maybe even 24/7...
Does anyone know where you can buy a shelving unit similar to this?
Doesn’t the cotton thread disintegrate in a few weeks leaving the moss unattached?
What did you do with the pinnatifida rock? Was absolutely gutted to see that come out. Can't grow it for the life of me in my tanks. 😭
Very Nice! I am just getting into aquascaping, but I have done hydroponics for several years now and know how to propagate from seed to complete using different hydroponics systems using rock wool. Is it easy to get seeds of these plants?
@MJAquascaping
Жыл бұрын
I only know that wholesalers grow a few plants from seeds in the greenhouse, but the majority of plants just come from the lab
Nice work! Quick question: are you for hire (located in the Netherlands) to scape a tank in my new house?

Hey, mj, I really like your videos, so I thought I would ask some really important questions. My betta has poeye, and it hasn't gone away after 2 weeks of antibacterial medication. Is this normal? Also, his bottom fins are starting to become sort of clear from the middle out, and I don't know what it is. Finally, he has 3 scails that look like they are pineconeing, but they actually have little pieces of "debris" that may be attached to him. I hope you answer to me because I really believe you can help me.
@MJAquascaping
Жыл бұрын
Ik raad altijd aan om eerst de hardscape te maken. Nadat je een mooie layout hebt gemaakt met hout en/of steen kun je een veel beter plan maken voor de planten.
in the tank that you teared down, how did you make Pinnatifidas that were on stone grow that compact? mine grows very tall like a stem plant. I love Pinnatifida but I want it to be compact like yours
@MJAquascaping
9 ай бұрын
Keep cutting the stems that grow vertically, and dose very little fertilizers :)
You used the this tank co2 enjection? (I am sorry ı bad speak english)
Beautiful planted tank! CO2 makes huge difference. I'm thinking to give it try too. Can I ask if you doze any fertiliser in tanks like that or just aqua soil with root tabs is enough?
@MJAquascaping
Жыл бұрын
In new setups with soil and root tabs i will use very little liquid fertiliser. Usually just a bit of potassium and some micro nutrients. After several months i will switch to a more complete liquid fertiliser

Hi, what's the name of the tape you used for the Moss?
Hello im in week 4 now and i still got nitrite in my water how can i remove this the tank is for a betta
Your plants grow like weeds. 👍🏼 (I can’t select a green color for the thumb 🤓). Cheers
hi can you make a tank thats similar to amano takashi
Simple layout + healthy plant growth = beautiful scape!
How are your gourami's doing with your shrimp? I have a similar size setup, only with more plants. My shrimp are to big for my gourami's to predate on, but they seem to want to stalk and harass the shrimp non stop. Just curious if yours does the same?
Ik ben super benieuwd naar de kleine rode planten; normaal worden ze best groot en nemen ze een tank over maar bij jou niet!!! Wat is je geheim?
Do you recommend to use amazonia aquasoil without co2?
@MJAquascaping
Жыл бұрын
Yeah should be fine. Just make sure to do enough water changes in the beginning
Just picked up the uns 30A all in one tank. I remember in another video you said the first 6mo you just dose potassium and trace minerals would you share what you use? Great video!
