After packing tape, you could have wrapped it with the wide plastic wrap used to wrap stuff stacked on pallets.

I worked in a plastic bottle factory for a couple years many years ago. In a good shift, 8 hours, we could make a MILLION BOTTLES. In 8 hours! Well that factory is still open and making plastic bottles still. By the MILLIONS! And they estimate that only 10% are ever recycled. That's staggering! Huge warehouses full of millions of bottles. And they all go out to other factories every day. Millions and millions and millions of them. And that's just one factory. It's horrifying if you think about it.

Awesome dude! Since you asked.. I think it would be cool if you built a catamaran using something like 8” diameter pvc pipe for the hulls

Sorry it's been taking this long for an update. School has really gotten in the way. However, I'm halfway though editing Ep. 8 for the boat build so it should be coming out soon. Thanks for being this patient.

Any news or change? Did you manage to finish the boat? We are waiting anxiously.

I love this idea, I am collecting bottles to build my own. Though I watching videos to see what and what not to do. If you where to do this again, refrain from using glue to hold all together, instead use duct tape than wrap with serran wrap or plastic sheeting. Also if you do this again, it would be cool if you made a paddle boat and recycled the bottles from the old boat.

I'm good. School and life just got in the way. Although, I'm almost finished editing the next boat vid. My plan was to release it tomorrow but I've been having some difficulties with my editing platform. It should be coming out within the next few days.

So.. any progress on the main sailboat build?

Forstays and backstays on masts are a must.. i wonder if wrapping it in fibreglass so its like an enclosed canoe would be good..

Back when I was your age (long time ago) a friend of mine had a book with plans and construction advice to build various milk jug boats. On another topic, have you come across the video of the guy who produces crude diesel fuel from plastic waste? The whole recycling thing has always been a sham. It was a propaganda campaign by the oil industry to make us feel better about buying more plastic.
