well i do not know about you Granddaddy Gamer. i am planing to build a floating base that i can take to any island with me but just in case i will still have a basic land base just in case something happens that i would need to start all over again. so ya i would need a some what big raft to build my base on.

I need some of these islands with cool buildings! Mine are way too vanilla! LOL

This my new strategy as well-smaller is better. I am going with a raft that is 4 tiles: 3 in the back and 1 upfront. I don’t bother with shelves (although I probably will take the stuff to make them when I get to the boss fights so I can put crates full of weapons on them for easy access). I routinely take 7 or so empty crates with me on my explorations to fill up with goodies. That also leaves me with 3 slots for any crates I may find along the way. I love spawning into the game at an island with a container ship where I will stay long enough to be able to make a proper raft with buoy balls/tires. If I spawn into a small, resource poor one, I gather everything possible and then swim to another one. I hate that stupid yellow raft-it’s a shark magnet. Never had a problem swimming. In one play-through my raft completely disappeared at some point (even had an anchor), so I just swam home rather than have to restart the game. Luckily, home base was an island with a container ship, so I could regenerate the raft pretty easily. Ah-the joys of Stranded Deep and all of its glitches!

I thought building some mammoth raft would be what I needed. It is not. You need something maybe with a little storage, just to go out and find an island at a time and to go kill the monsters. Use your copter to get around after you establish a camp to make quick trips. For me I just made a base in the center of the map, then branched out at a time from there to different islands when I needed, to camp and farm, and also to make stops if needed to save near a boss or just save at the main base first and go directly to a boss.

Really you can just make a small raft for monster hunting and a larger one for farming or hauling. I would load up crates and put crates in my personal storage, then used my copter to go between islands when farming.

if you leave extras behind on a island and hop to other island will your extras still b there? or will it despawn?

nothing gets despawn in Stranded Deep at all. it jsut stays there. unless you go out in the deep ocean then drop something int he water you will never see it again for there is no bottom in Stranded Deep that any one can find right now. so if you have to meny things you no longer want to keep just dump it in the ocean off shore is all.

I always knew you were a lantern horder. That's all I am going to say because I KNOW I am way worse than you. That's why I usually give you hard time on games when you do it. Horders Unite!

Have you ever thought to make the carrier your home base that way you have plenty of room for all the stuff

Wait. It's been probably over a year since I played this. Have they updated it with bigger islands? What is this @1:28? I do NOT remember this and I played a LOT of this game! I finished it, I got the Platinum I hoarded so much crap that I built a big beach house but I don't remember this.

When did they update crates to have 20 slots? Mine have either 5 or 6 not 20. I'm confused.

5 slots 4 items per slot is 20 items. If I said slots instead of items I misspoke. However since I showed the open container in the video I assumed people would understand what I meant.

@@GranddaddyGamer sorry, eyesight isn't what it used to be and much harder to see when watching on a phone, lol. 5 slots, but each slot will only hold the same item stacked, not 4 different items, so it's still only 5 different items, not 20, unless you are using all the same item, then it's just 20 of the same item. I wish like hell it was 20 different items, but sadly it's not. At least not without using mods anyway.

20 items per crate is only for PC, right? Seems some of your crates are fewer spaces, though. What's that about?

Don't like the glitch don't use it. I hope they don't patch it being as you pc players get mod mode when console gets things like this. Glitches, don't like the exploit don't use it. Very simple

its nice to have a glitch work for the player .. im hesitant to see it go, but .. lol

instead of waiting for a fix for the coconuts, why don't you simply not use it. its in the game so its not a hack but heatring you complain about it while doing it makes me wonder why you do it.

I have a lot of videos where I do not use it, most are before the glitch was created. Now all I get are comments about how to use it and why I don’t. So when I do use it I explain it’s a bug, just in case they patch it and someone watches after. Either way it seems I get complaints
