You can't fault John Oliver for his relentless hazing, he is a man with a laser-sharp eye for situational comedy and a deep professional understanding of Stephen's predicament, so this is probably exactly why they invited him to the show that night. The way Stephen just let John bulldozer over himself, and even played into it a little, shows that it's all coming from a place of empathy, love and respect for each other. Brothers in arms!

Anybody else feel like they would be endlessly entertained if every single night in perpetuity, it was just Colbert, John Oliver, and Jon Stewart? It seems like the kind of trio that would be almost catastrophically amusing.
