Hi Mr French! I enjoyed this walk and talk of Waynesville, NC. It is well known that that town is changing and growing fast, and the natives and locals there are not happy about it. The culprit, as always, is greedy developers who are building large-scale housing subdivisions and other projects everywhere. You can always tell when a nice town is experiencing explosive growth by the appearance of its sidewalks and shop entryways. I hope the local government of Waynesville end the Asheville-ing of their town while it is still charming because if they don't, they will soon regret it. Be and stay say out their, Timothy! Mr French I just thought the same thing. My wife and I stayed in downtown Asheville the first week in October for the first time and will never go back. It was horrible. I’m sure it was charming back in the day but now not so much.

Asheville is now East San Fran California....... sad what's going on there... Not wanting to go into politicians or blue or red but everyone knows why.... be well.

That looks like a retirement town for me.. we love the mountains.. whenever you're back home in Lexington stop by Speedy's BBQ come see us ask for Shannon or Erby... My wife loves your show and would love to meet you when you're back home

Very nice town. Nice that most shops are active and not closed after the pandemic. Wish they had a few more Big box options. I need the best of both worlds. LOL

They have the usual chains and franchises around the outskirts of town. But I don’t think they have a Home Depot or Lowe’s. Those are not far away in Asheville. Thanks for watching 😀

They do have Lowe’s about 4 miles up the road off of interstate state 40. Ingles and a lot off fast food restaurants about 2 miles from downtown. Maggie valley about 9 miles away. Hope you hit Maggie Valley too.

Road 276 in between the church and the gas station down town takes you straight up to the blue ridge parkway and the back down to brevard Nc. Beautiful scenery, lots of hiking trials, waterfalls, trout fishing, I can go on and on.❤❤ heaven on earth.
