Sweet review! This thing kinda came out of nowhere and it's honestly a lot more interesting than a Samsung right now just based off of battery, charging and price. If I end up going back to Android for my next phone purchase then it will very likely be this phone!

I should probably publish that yeah. Long story short it’s a superb phone. So long as you are fine without FaceTime or optical zoom get it. If you need optical zoom get the non r.

13:15 The OnePlus has MANY options to calibrate the display so you can fine tune it to be accurate. Most iPhone users wouldn’t know that because there are NO display calibration settings in an iPhone. EDIT: Ok he eventually found the settings at the end of the video. Lol

Keyboard seems to be more accurate in my experience and alot snappier on s24 ultra. Iphone 13 can lag sometimes I'd say the autocorrect on samsung keyboard is worse than iphone tho. But it's funny how even the latest iphone and mine lag in subway surfers and sonic dash but my s24 ultra doesn't lol and these two came out like 10 plus years ago lol

The 12r the s24plus and the nothing 2a are my top picks for phones of 2024 you can pick up.

Gotta be honest One plus is an amazing Flagship killer phone , for the price that it is sold at the performance , longevity and that style is next to none , been a one plus user for less than a month but have got great reviews from family members using them from back in 2018, and not a bad thing to say about it

former user of OP 9 pro, upgraded to 12R due to battery performance, the overall feeling is very similar, I was very satisfied with the 9 Pro that's why I picked again an OP. One of the best VFM out there IMHO.

I have oneplus 9... is the 12R enough of an upgrade to justify the price £450 here in Uk. my oneplus 9 lags in 8 ball pool and battery life not so good but it charges quickly, i'm kinda on the fence. does 8 ball pool run any better on 12R ????

@@lee__1707 not so much, I didn't notice significant performance difference on 12R, I managed to sell it for 300 euros so the upgrade cost me 320, kind of OK but mostly for the battery, I'm very satisfied with 12Rs battery. You can try replacing the battery in 9 pro.

1 month ago I traded my boring 15 pro max for S24 ultra and I'm glad I did that

I'm currently using the 14 pro max soon I'll be switching to the 12r 256 gb

What do you think about one plus UI. People are really exaggerating about oxygen OS looks quite similar to color os . It still looks quite clean while adding more functionalities than pixel s UI.

Seems good to me. My only experience with androids has been a bazillion Samsung and Lenovo tablets… and for phones the pixel. The one plus UI seems very unobtrusive and quite logical to navigate.

I'm considering the 12R over the Poco X6 Pro. $173 difference for similar performance. The lower performing battery of the X6 Pro is a deal breaker for me.

Feel's like phones are kind of stagnated and every mobile is kind of minor upgrade.

The only real thing you lose is FaceTime. If that doesn’t matter to you then the one plus is a superb option

Using pixel 7 pro... I found a 12R for 320 on prime day I just want good connectivity....no heat Hope this switch work

Apple and Samsung have such slow charging speed. It's incredibly frustrating at this point. People say it preserves the battery and that's not a reason not to include fast charging though... you can always use a slow charger if you want. Apple Samsung and Google need to catch up with OnePlus and Oppo and Xiaomi and Huawei etc

i've had a oneplus 10 for 2 years, it charges in 16min 100%, and i've never had a battery problem, samsung and apple want to make more profit that's all.

Its a technological limitation. Samsung and Apple use Li-ion batteries everyone else uses Li-Po. Li-Po are cheaper, safer, cooler and thats why they are easier to fast charge but they have on average 50% the total cycle count compared to Li-ion. If anything though Samsung especially should know that their preference for this battery really affect their phones with their swelling within 3 years and explosion problems in the past.

How has your experience been using the phone with the real fast charging ?

I just ordered one in July 2024. At least in the US Oneplus has a deal where you get $100 off instantly by trading in any phone working or not. I have a very low end phone I got for free via 2yrs of bill credits. So the 2 yrs are up and I am getting $100 for it.

I use my iPhone mainly for KZread now and as a FaceTime box. The android is what I use otherwise right now

If u wanna compare iPhone with OnePlus, u should have picked OnePlus 12 not 12R

I switched from s23u to oneplus 12r and a used Canon m50 camera (i like photography).

Company should give red sillicon case with mobile box

12r is considerably larger than s23 plus.

Americans are generally a bit sad. I've seen comments from Americans saying I'd love to get the OnePlus 12r but everyone in my skool has a iPhone, so I have to get an iPhone. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Sums Americans up I'm afraid. While the rest of us, all round the world, can enjoy these incredible phones.

This means something coming from someone who has been using a 15 Pro Max. I'm currently using the OnePlus 10T, waiting for my 12R to arrive in a few days.

I have a 2 month follow up video coming. I have to eventually switch back since my family is OBSESSED with FaceTime. Going back was/is not easy. iPhones feel so laggy, bloated, and limited . Not to mention they cost a fortune

I kept switching back and forth between Android and iPhone every year or so until it became a running joke amongst my friends that I couldn't make up my mind lol. Everytime I would move away from apple I would inevitably miss being able to randomly FaceTime my wife, disliked being one of the only green bubbles in the chat and not seeing all blue messages lol

Comment from someone trying to move from a flip phone to a smartphone. The real fear of buying a OnePlus 12R is the lack of a printable reference manual. The PDFs on the company's website are not paginated for reference, either for the 12R or for the Oxygen 14 OS. KZread videos can only go so far--but not for someone learning a new style of phone. To further aggravate a potential buyer, OnePlus USA doesn't have any kind of e-mail mechanism whereby one could start a thread answering questions and concerns.

OnePlus user here. You can access the red cable club from the settings. It will link you to forums and customer service. You can chat with them if you have any inquiries. Haven't used that feature yet because the user interface is very intuitive... Or perhaps I'm just so used to OnePlus. Just explore the settings and tweak it to your liking.

Trying to decide between the 12 and the 12r. Hard decision

Just switched to the s24 ultra from an iPhone 13 Pro Max . Just to play , great phone no doubt , but for sure I know that I will go back to iPhone in a couple of months , don’t know why , apple magic 😅? , iPhone just feels smoother and responsive more , don’t get me wrong the s24 ultra is dope fast and smooth but 9,/10 smooth if the iPhone is 10 . And the apps , so many apps are better designed on iPhone , why though / why they dint care about android apps .

Just to let you know FYI Apple is made by Samsung Samsung isn't making their phones for years and the only thing really sent Apple really makes is their tablets and their computers but their phones in general are manufactured by Samsung and if you do not believe me take one apart and look inside you will see Samsung branded parts

so, it is so evident that i have made a gigantic mistake at this stage after i had selected oneplus 12R over samsung s23 fe which had no doubt better cameras than this phone. let it be known that i had waited 4 years for this upgrade which was not much but I guess, you dont get what you really want in life

The 12R is really nice, probably the nicest in its price range, but it is not the most premium Android phone on the market. Well done breakdown of the experience, by the by.

LOL Not sure why in the world you would think a budget phone would have "the most serious SOC for a Android" ??? Not even close. This uses a 1 year old soc and is mid tier at BEST. The Asus ROG 8 Pro and the Red Magic 9 Pro are both faster than the Iphone 15 in all benchmarks except the Geekbench single core score. Please do your research before making statements like that.
