Funnily enough, summoning bugs was one of spawn's main abilities in the comics at a certain point (post issue 35 i think?). Surprised mk 11 never utilised this.

I like it when comics just fuck around with bad guys like this. You don't know what the fuck this guy can or can't do, and you definitely AREN'T prepared for his bluffs either. Kinda reminds me of a Superman comic where Joker comes to Metropolis to threaten Superman, only for Big Blue to say, "I already disabled your bombs in the blink of an eye. Here they are, they weren't even laced with lead or kryptonite. You can press that detonator, but I also used my heat vision to melt it's circuits. Oh, and you're confused about something. See, Batman doesn't kill, I CHOOSE not to kill, and I can and will put you in the ground if I have to."

He didn't fry the circuits of the detonator IIRC, he straight dared Joker to blow himself up, but it wouldn't matter because the bombs wouldn't hurt and he's fast enough to catch any debris that would fall from the building they were on top of.

If I'm honest with you, I hate the "I choose not to kill" line because it just feels like a slap in the face to Superman's entire character. If Superman won't kill atomic skull who yes, is more dangerous than the Joker. Then him saying that is just dumb and feels like edgy. (Especially the fact that the atomic skull part I'm referencing was a part of a storyline in Superman vs the elite, a story where Superman literally States that "I may not be able to go where they want to be" which is literally referencing the fact that Superman does not kill. The only characters he is willing to kill are Doomsday, a mindless animal and Darkseid a character who is quite literally immortal and will come back no matter what.)

Goes to show that Peter doesn’t have to physically disarm the guy. He also battles psychologically too by using his jokes and humor to distract and intimidate through showing his powers to crooks to induce arachnophobia
