Hello friends, I hope you enjoyed this (slightly random) video! I had this footage from a very cold, frosty and foggy December day which looked a little creepy and I didn't know where to use it... I thought I'd turn it into a little dark Christmas dream, especially seeing that it's Solstice today, for those interested in more ancient Yule traditions. 😊 Apart from this one cold foggy day, this December was mild and rainy. Not festive at all! Are you celebrating Christmas? Or Winter Solstice? Or New Year? Any other celebrations? I'd love to know what your traditions are!

😃👍 It was fantastic, Daria!! And I'm happy to see you are in top shape again, after that cold! 😉 😊 I'm from the North of Spain, and we do celebrate the Solstice where I live, as Saint Thomas Day. It is also a busy traditional Market Day, with yummy special typical foods! 😁Then, as the rest of the Country, we celebrate Christmas Eve 🌟🤶🎅, Christmas Day🎁🎄, New Year's Eve 🍇🥂🍾, New Year's Day🎉🎊 ☃️✨, and... Epiphany!! 👑 (With a very special cake, and the Three Maggi Kings coming on parade for a second round of gifts! 🎁) 😅 In fact, we don't take our Christmas decorations down (or cease frantic preparations and celebrations) until after January 6th!! (And then, we collapse! 🥴🤣) I'm so glad I could finally make it to KZread and watch this video! I really needed it!! Thank you again, Daria! 🙏🥰🤗

Sometimes feeling overwelmed is inevitable. The thing to remember is nothing is perfect...You can't control everything.

What a mood change from the winter horror tale to a christmassy warm part 😅 Love this, it's refreshing to see something new and unusual but still in your amazing style! Winter is not an easy season at all and end of year is rather often filled with anxiety of finishing everything up. It's good to take time for yourself, well done! Lovely video and loved the little dance partner you had there 😆

I thought I clicked on the wrong video and this was for Halloween. 😅 Very creative video. 👏🏾 I, too, have been feeling burnt out, and I wasn't feeling very festive this December. I focused on minimal and simple decor. We still had a wonderful holiday, and I'm taking a few weeks off from my creative work to focus on resting and fun hobbies. Merry Christmas ✨️💜

I am feeling completely burnt out from the stress and anxiety of "making Christmas" as a mom. I feel like the only ppl who get to enjoy Xmas are kids and men.

Ask for help. If no one is helping you, then don't do it. You deserve to enjoy the holidays too! And people must help each other when a holiday is coming. It's like you spend some time together and everything is done much quickly. So, please, don't do all the work by yourself. Plus, holidays are about joy and relaxation or even doing nothing, not about feeling exhausted or even missing the holidays because of this.

When I watch your videos I see such abundant beauty. With this one in particular I noticed the frozen flowers, the mist and the old buildings, your home is incredible too! I loved the dark mood at the beginning of the video. This has been very different from all your other videos. The story telling, the transition from dark mood to the warmth, was amazing! More than amazing. It was spectacular! And I was in the dumps but thanks to your video, I am now reminded of a different perspective.

What amazing photography. I am normally quite crazy about Christmas, but with moving this year I am just not feeling festive. I am however feeling calm and even happy... Personally, I don't celebrate Christmas but I can appreciate that some people can feel bogged down with stress or anxiety and feel pressured into the "I've got to do this"& "I must do that" way of thinking when the truth is, you really don't. Do as you please and don't make room for negativity and pressure from anybody else! Usually I work over Christmas but this year I will be home, I live alone with my furbabies in my cosy little home, although my parents and brother live close by, but I'm looking forward to just pleasing myself what I do, choosing to eat what I feel like on Christmas day - which could be anything (as long as it's vegan & cruelty free 😊) Ultimately you're own emotional and physical well-being is priority. ❤

Hi, Daria! Brand new to your channel, as of today. Thank you for this video and talking about emotions! I’m a stay-at-home mom of an 8 month old and am 10 weeks pregnant with my husband and I’s second baby. I love my babies, but today has been an unusually hard day for me, with pregnancy hormones raging and my emotions all over the map. I was a psychology major in college, and I keep thinking to myself, “I should know what to do when I have all these varied emotions!” But that’s far from the truth. I still struggle, even though I know what I can do to try and process the emotions and calm myself. I found this video very calming today, and I truly appreciate it. Thank you! Thank you for the video. I found that I'm rather strongly affected by the feelings of those around me. But being sensitive has also the advantage, that I recover very fast and don't need much to do so. Just thinking about someone I care for and what he may like as a chrismas present already brought me joy. I try to establish habits (like journaling or such), but when I'm stressed, I find that skipping out on those not yet formed habits, calms me down. It reminds me, that I don't have to write or do much, if I'm not feeling like it. That little piece of imperfection takes away the pressure of "performing well" for me. Anyway, if you feel overwhelmed, just take a look at what is necessary and what not. This helps me, whenever I feel stressed. And since I realize once more that a lot actions aren't truely necessary, I can use that time for something else instead. Personally, I think it's fine to not be the most joyful during such a time. Feelings are feelings, and it's fine to feel the uncomfortable ones even if others wish you didn't. Best wishes from europe
