Flirted a lot with death in this one, and the divining rod will probably help in the next one, took some time but I figured it out! 😅 Yeah I know spider glands heal and you can use them to create the healing salve but, yeah... sometimes one's brain does not want to compute things while playing this game... (like it works irl, lol)

Well played. Another one bites the dust. The worlds you go to are kinda random. For example 2 worlds can't be first or second world you travel to, only third or fourth, while fifth world is always the same. In 2 worlds people usually spend more time, build a light base, unlock most of the things (the things you build once dont need sience or alchemy machine anymore to craft, and it carries over to other worlds). When hambat gets to yellow colour its time ti replace it, when its red axe or pickaxe do more dmg. Butterflys 🙃

Heya! As others have said, there's major improvement to your play here. I think though, that as you get better at your reaction skills (you've become truly talented at reacting to the threats/challenges the world throws at you for instance), you are less precise with your self-driven actions, if that makes sense. The actions you take when the world isn't pressuring you and you are just existing in it. Here are two examples of what I mean: 1) It's better to think about what hat you should be wearing, rather than to just default to whatever hat you happen to have on. Since you were in Winter, a hat for warmth would have made your time usage more effective - that would be true even if the game really did run 9-day Winters like you expected, never mind the full-on Winter that you actually experienced. Sometimes, you would have a football helmet for extended periods of time when you needed sanity, or you would have a top hat on for combat. You could wear a football helmet during nighttime if you aren't sure you are near enemy territory (that saved you at least once), but if you are in a safe spot then sanity-gaining headgear might help stave off the sanity drain of the night better. Just, take a moment to check your loadout before and after each "moment of play"? After a fight, after a cooking session, after escaping a threat, etc. Adding that check in would, I think, be one of the biggest boons to having you feel more in the driver's seat going forward. 2) There are lots of times where you eat raw food or cook your food, but only eat/cook part of a stack. In general, as long as you're gaining stats from food, there's no reason to save food for later - if you can cook it all and eating it all doesn't get you to full satiety and HP, then you might as well cook and eat it all. Also, if the Ham Bat and Raw Meat look too similar when you're in a hurry, just separate your inventory so their positions never confuse you. I always have Ham Bats in my character-bar and always put Raw Meat in the bottom-right of my backpack, for example. Little things like this allow you to rely on your muscle memory in moments of panic - plus, it's a bummer to waste raw meat and lose sanity since meat is still a relatively valuable resource for you. Mind you, being so precise is unnecessary if it makes this experience unfun, so if this is getting too...much, let me know and I can go back to informational rather than habit-based tips. I don't want to be annoying, just helpful. It just gets more bang for your buck, since better stat gain and organization can open your mental energy up to being curious about other mechanics instead of feeling that constant Don't Starve pressure all the time. Okay, enough rambling. A new informational tip: TIP: Cooking on a fire has actually subtle utility that may not be obvious. I mention this since I see you're using fires more than crock pots, so I want to make sure you got the most out of it. You may be aware of some of this already, but no harm in making sure. For fruits, eggs, and vegetables, cooking them means they spoil faster. For meat and fish, cooking them means they spoil slower. You can cook stale ingredients and get a fresh result from it, which sometimes is a good reason to not cook something until it's very stale, to extend shelf life (if this is the reason you were only partially cooking, fair enough - it looked maybe not so intentional? But I could be wrong - in which case, sorry!) For most farm vegetables except corn, roasting over a fire will increase healing and will often increase satiety as well. Corn should be eaten raw - popcorn is not nutritious. Some vegetables are actually better roasted over a fire than used in a crock pot, if you do the math. I can talk more about vegetable optimization or leave that for your own discovery if you want to discover it through Science. Don't want to spoil too much, just want to put the concept in your head so you know it's a thing. This sort of tip is more acutely useful for the future - for DST and caverns - but can help in Adventure Mode too. Specifically, optimizing ingredient usage can help a lot now that you're a more "experienced" player, if you play with less experienced players, because you will often be feeding both yourself and them until they learn the basics. So stretching your ingredients out as far as they will go can help you get further. It can also help in single-player cuz it reduces time spent getting food if you're maximizing the stats and spoilage time from food items. You see a lot of group DST streams where the group can't get very far even though one player is quite a bit more experienced than the rest - it's optimizations like this (and being able to teach them to your fellow players) that can help swing the balance if you ever go in that direction with your content.

Hiya! I’m guessing you’re referring to that I’ve moved a few actions from conscious to subconscious actions? Yeah I seem to overlook my headwear/armor in a lot of scenarios as you say, it’s been getting better but I’m still missing to equip the helmet for example in a lot of moments, especially when I’m attacked or am put in danger without my choosing. The inventory can be quite annoying for me, as all items that you use always change position. I feel like I miss click more than anything else, like I’m hovering the mouse over something and accidentally click, or if I am to cook raw food, hover the food over the fire and I’m standing too close to the fire and eat it instead of cooking it. I just don’t want to take in too much information on how to solve the puzzles, what to do, strategies and more because that will remove the fun of solving it and completing the quest myself. I think it also leads to a worse viewing experience as there is more videos out there where everyone already knows how to play the game. It’s more fun watching someone that doesn’t know everything. So I read/skim text and stop reading if I get too much information. I love that you’re as invested as I am in this series! It’s great conversing with you all!

@@Babaganuush Yes re:conscious/subconscious. Regarding information - am I doing okay so far or am I starting to say too much? Whenever I see people playing difficult games I want to be helpful without back-seating or spoiling, but it's a delicate matter. I appreciate what you've said about viewing goals in the big picture - but if you explicitly tell me what you'd prefer me to do as a viewer, I'm happy to follow your preference and can do so without guesswork on my end. Re: misclicking - cook from sides of campfires, rather than behind/in-front. Should solve at least that specific issue.

I don't feel like you've spoiled anything, but as you say, it's a delicate matter. I'm not looking for spoilers of course but I'd say you're doing a good job! I've read some stuff from others that (maybe not spoil but...) remove the fun of discovery, but I've also forgot about a lot of them as soon as I've read them so there hasn't been too much damage from anyone yet. Yeah, sometimes I'm too quick for my own good though 😅
