I'm so glad I didn't throw out my old boots. I used them for other purposes and did not regret it

Recently, the idea of decorating our homes has taken root.
And if you make felt boots from concrete, you can decorate your yard with them or place them under the Christmas tree in your house. It will look cute and New Year's. In summer, such boots will serve as a garden figurine.
- For concrete, I took sand and cement in a ratio of 3:1. I mixed it well and poured the solution into my boots, but not completely. I shook my boots well to avoid voids.
- I prepared two plastic cups for sour cream, poured sand into them for weight and placed them in my boots. The cement has risen to the brim.
- I placed a weight on top so that the glasses did not float up and left it to dry. The next day the solution hardened and the boots were brought into the house for further drying.
- By evening, I cut the boots with a stationery knife and removed the rubber. I left the cups out of place.
- Sanded the boots with sandpaper.
- I applied some mortar and puttyed all the imperfections.
- When the boots were completely dry, I painted them with ordinary gray paint.
- Now the most interesting part is the decoration. You can draw New Year's drawings on the sides.
- I used a napkin. But first I painted the background with white acrylic paint. I tore off the necessary fragments from the deer napkins and glued them to the boots with PVA glue.
- Then I coated it in a circle with glue and sprinkled it with glitter.
- The final layer is acrylic varnish, which will preserve all this beauty.
- I made the boots for a whole week, because I dried every step of the work and it takes time. Only the concrete took 3 days to dry.
- But now I have an original decoration. I put spruce branches in my boots, and once we decorate the Christmas tree, I’ll bring them into the house.
I like homemade concrete figures more than store-bought ones, because in stores they are somehow pretentious and unnatural. And they serve for more than one year. Verified.
