I like to think he was just sunbathing. My dogs will lay out in the sun, or in the sunspots that shine through the windows for hours. They even follow the sunspot as it moves across the floor as the hours go by. Sure that dog doesn't have the best life like mine and many other homed dogs do, but I wouldn't say he is sad based off what we see here.

We need more people like you!! I have a daughter that fell and hit her head 8 years ago and had a seizure, the hospital said "you'll probably never have another" 8 years later and she has at least one every other day. She isn't allowed to drive or work so is on disability. I'm helping raise her children on S.S. but we make it work. Everyone has some kind of struggle!! Keep doing what you're doing! You're changing lives and you're a God sent!!

Hell yeah brother! Keep working on yourself and keep getting better. You two can do this, we all believe in you guys!

Every person in this video deserves all the help they can get and I’m not judging anyone. However I have a feeling that if the guy wants to make it with his recovery he might be better off on his own right now. It seems like the others are still using and I’m afraid it’s just asking for trouble. I wish them all well ❤

Sometimes I sit and watch your videos, and just feel so overwhelmed with sadness and grief, at how many of these people are out there, homeless, hungry, and in some cases, even dying. My wife, my daughter, and I, do whatever we can to help out the homeless community here, in Springfield, MO...but we still often think about trying to save up some money, here and there, to send to you, for all that you do, to help those, in your area. Sorry, if we don't have much to send, but we will keep trying and saving, whatever we can, to help you as well. It's just there's so many people here as well, who need so much help, that it's just so difficult, to stay ahead of it all.

Ruby not even sitting up when approached was very worrisome. A dog laying on the pavement, in the sun, and being lethargic like that is normal dog behavior. Maybe check on her and offer to get her checked out.

The dog didn’t look that well and looked thirsty and hungry. Probably needed a check up as well. That was awesome. There is free help for the homeless with pets.

Respect for owning up that he messed up with heroin. I've seen it too many times where someone gets a decent amount of money and it's just gone and they end up homeless. Pity his mother isn't helping him.

His mother is willing to help by giving him a place to stay but her car is broken so he can't get to the clinic because she's so far away, and more importantly, he said that if he's in that area, he's going to end up using drugs. For many people trying to get away from addiction, environment is just as bad as the addiction itself. (That's the way it is with a lot of bad things.) If the only people you're able to hang out with are all drug users, and you're trying to kick the habit, it's extremely hard to not end up relapsing. Especially if you're stuck out in the boonies where there's no positive social life, nothing to do but sit with "friends" and talk or get into trouble. And addicts in that environment will always push you to use so that they aren't faced with someone who is doing the right thing and getting their life together and making them feel bad about themselves. They'll do what they can to bring you back down, to show that it's not possible to get away from it, so they feel better.
