I had the same issue with my wifi card. R14 ryzen 7 5800x 3080 32gb ddr4 3600mhz. All I had to do was to take the round battery out and put it back in and it worked. Either way both the R13 and R14 are amazing PC's. Immense upgrade from the R10-R11

It’s a bios setting thing just reset your bios by taking your motherboard batterie out and make sure your system is off then wait 5 min. And then put it back in and it should fix the issue

Yeah the cryo tech cooling is made by intel that’s why it doesn’t come with the r14 with AMD. So intel is to blame for not having it . But it looks cooler with the neon for sure, but as for cooling I think it’s just about the same intel chips don’t run as hot anyway

Almost returned my x15 brother! Alienware upgraded me to max spec x15 r2qhd. I had max spec x15r1 though. Qhd panels kept having dead pixels.

damn, my m17 r4 keep having dead pixels too, three replacement unit, all had dead pixels, my panel is 4k, they are gonna replace it with the x17 maxed out now, hoping that 4k screen won't have issues

guess i'll update this for anyone interested, my X15 (which was to replace 2 M15 R4's that were damaged upon arrival) was faulty. Constant overheating and thermal throttling, and the screen had a couple dead pixels. Also the AlienFX had a problem, not matter what colors I set it to, when the FN+F1 was pressed it reset it all to the RGB, and everytime the computer rebooted the computer would override my light settings and go back to RGB. I messed with it for a few days and just sent it back. Dell's quality control is absolute garbage, i'm just keeping my M15 R5. I just repasted it and its such a legit computer.

I will never deal with Dell again. Dante himself could not have imagined the perfect and tormenting hell that is Dell's customer/technical 'support'. It's on me for not fully understanding at the time what I wanted or needed versus what I would get, and that plays right into the business model for pre-builts.

What exactly is so bad about the tech support last time i had a alienware it was the alienware r1 from 2014 and the support was ok atleast for me at that time idk how they be handling things nowadays

I checked the website same specs coming out at 3900 😮 but if I build muy own same specs just be a different motherboard and case comes out at 3800 that’s paying market prices probably I can get all the parts cheap just gotta wait around to find discount on all items to same some money

Dell these days is quite unlike the Dell in the yesteryears. They have come up with a system called Support Assist that is a disguised planned obsolescence system. Think of it as a Trojan horse. It is introduced to keep your systems updated and working till the warranty period, and swiftly after the warranty expiry keeps introducing updates that lead to one or the other software malfunction. The warranty then offered for a year or two is close to the price of a new laptop; just slightly lesser perhaps. So, my two cents is to ignore the fancy lighting and other fancy stuff and go for a brand that provides you the not so fancy but a reliable and lasting product. All the best folks!!

It should be a crime to build/sell a 12th gen high end cpu coupled with a 120mm clc.

One thing about Alienware... you def don't wanna take a chance that it's the mobo and not the card, because you can't replace those mobos out of warranty. They're custom with front panel IO built into the mobo! It's a beautiful machine, but if something goes on that mobo, it's lights out. Also, check for thermal throttling on the CPU. Even with the enhanced cooler, those CPUs in the Alienware rigs have been known to thermal throttle down after about 1 min, giving you the performance of a chip that's about $300 less expensive than the one on the board!

I had no issues changing the lights in windows 11. May have to update, uninstall and reinstall the Alienware Command Center.

Turn of the PC and unplug it and hold the power button for 20 seconds and plug it back in and it should work

I am returning my R13 for the second time. The first had several issues. Spent over four hours with several Dell techs and they could figure it out. I wanted to swap for a another one but was told that it would be over thirty days to receive it. I returned it and purchased a new one. I've had this one for a week now. When I set it up it shown previous customer information and it make loud rattling noise. I purchased a new system and received a refurbished system. It obvious Dell has poor customer support and do not do adequate assessment of system prior to shipment. I am returning the system and is completely done with Dell. I've recommended that my company rid themself of dell and look for a new supplier. Sorry Dell lovers but I am totally done with Dell.
