I think many do when they first start (first 1-2years I imagine) since it’s human and in this job you clearly care so much for others, learning to control your emotions during things like this is learned through years of practice and experience. You aren’t into the wrong for caring

My sister in laws a doctor, she used to break down when she used to visit during her years as a med student, and now she's become a bit desensitized. It's only natural to feel the way you feel, but being exposed to it for long periods of time, you don't respond the ways you used to

@Mr Don No, but by donating as much as he has been made to he's been living a far less healthier life himself. They've shown this situation in other shows, too. Also that book turned movie, My Sister's Keeper.

Is it just me or does it sound like 'my sister's keeper' but without the courtcase etc..

This scene was so heart breaking. The boy is so strong. And his little brother. Made me cry, that him being so young he had made up his mind he didn’t want him or his brother to suffer any more. Ethan and April, always touching hearts. They’re so strong. I love them as well.

i told my mom that i have cronic pain issues it broke her for a min but after she basicly forced me in the car and we went to the doc sad part was the docs finnaly started working outside the box after i told them what i told my mom.

0:43 I love and hate the way he turns completely emotionless when his family enters the room. It's sad but it looks awesome

He didn't want to tell his parents the truth at first because the parents were already angry at the little brother for little brother's reactions to the meds. He's tired of his little brother being treated as nothing more than spare parts. He was ready to end the battle. Parents when it comes to this moment, don't want to give up the fight even when the child is tired. They become irate & don't care That's why he became emotionless until he finally could get them to listen

When the little boy said “I’m not scared enymore” I started crying 😭

I was in tears during this clip, and the sad thing is there are actual people like this boy who are just tired of fighting and just want it to all stop. My heart goes out to those people suffering in pain, my prayers and love are with you!

I haven't cried like a baby for a show since This is us (when Jack died)! That scene was heartbreaking! Great acting by the kids!

Honestly, I cried while typing this, 'Your brave, You really are..But I'm ready to go.'Made me so upset

I'm a nurse and I watch alot of patients suffer for their families sake. I know its hard to let go of a loved one especially a child but going through Cancer treatment is one of the most painful things to do. God bless all the families who suffer what comes from Cancer and bless us with a cure❤❤😓❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

He pulled at my heart strings and released a flood from my eyes. In all his pain, he was afraid of disappointing his family. What a beautiful and courageous child.🕊🙏🏽❤️

normally, when I say i'm crying, I'm not actually crying but hhHHH GUESS WHAT I HAVE TEARS REAL TEARS OH MY-

When you have a family member who works with the dying you tend to see scenes like this in a different light. It’s not shameful or a disappointment to say that your done fighting and want to die. A doctors job is to prolong the inevitable. But death isn’t something to be afraid of, this young man isn’t a coward for not wanting to fight anymore. It’s not really a “fight” he didn’t “loose” and his illness didn’t “win”. He just wanted his last few days/weeks/months alive to be pain free and peaceful. It’s really hard for the person dying to deal with their families thinking they’ve given up or to keep fighting. When all they want is quality time with them. It’s doesn’t matter how long you have to live, have quality of life, time with loved ones and moments. Not quantity.

"I'm ready to go" that word that would bring me to tears and tgat powerfyl word will break anyones heart into millions

Of all the clips of these series, this one hit me hard! Reminds me of my mother, asking permission to go, because no painkiller could stop her pain, she had enough, just like this boy... In some way, this helps with my own grief... Thanks!

If my sister gave up and never fought to get rid of her cancer then I would die with her. But she fought for her life, without her I would be nothing

usually very sad things NEVER make me cry but for some reason something about this episode brought me to tears, what is happening.

I understand the boys decision so so much. We had a family friend who suffered for a very very long time just for the hope that she would get better. We all wished we could have got that time enjoying life the last bit of it she had to the fullest instead of being in pain. In a way this kid is choosing to enjoy what he has left instead of suffer through it and it’s a very brave choice to make

@@beckyc8104 Anna wins her case but because she's a minor she needs an adult to take over medical decisions. Her lawyer is appointed to be that person. After city, Anna left with her lawyer and they ended up getting into a car accidents were Anna dies. Her lawyer agrees to donate her kidney to kate. Which ultimately made her go into remission.
