That's the PL media training for you 😂 just goes to show how constricting being a professional footballer (especially a black player) can be, especially considering how rabid & antagonistic the British media is. While Black American sports figures, and black British celebrities from other disciplines can clearly speak more freely on the exact same subject. PR doesn't work in an honest conversation like this

@@caseyfitch2330 Exactly. Well said. PL media training got all their players in a shell of delusion. I was shocked when I heard him trying to make a point of reason using "anger and frustration" as an excuse for that wow, seemed like he was afraid to speak up and step on some toes there. I got nothing against him but that was such a poor and sad move. Hopefully he rewatches this clip, learns that he messed up and do better next time

I agree with all points, Rashy is a product of a brand and has commercial responsibility as well as being in a predominantly ‘white’ world / sport he’s conflicted. Daniel is an artist and has more poetic licence but kept it 💯.

Hearing bron say that he has sleepless nights when everybody on the squad doesn’t have the passion/energy/effort to win is funny to me because I remember hearing Kobe say something similar about the championships in 09 & 10. He knew everybody didn’t care the way he did, he knew everybody wouldn’t be held accountable for losing the way that he would…but that was part of the journey/struggle that comes with winning. “The beauty in the struggle”
