I'm Not Stopping - Lael Wilcox Races the Navad 1000 Across Switzerland

The Navad1000 is a 1000-kilometer-long self-supported mountain bike race that climbs 30,000 meters through the Swiss Alps. Lael Wilcox chose the race as her first ultra-endurance competition in Europe, crossing nearly the entire country of Switzerland by bike. The film showcases the relentless natural beauty of the Swiss Alps and the challenges of ultra-endurance bike racing. Sacrificing sleep and finding food and water along the way, Lael pushes as hard as she possibly can through the course's grueling route in an attempt to beat the course record of 5 days, 5 hours, 8 minutes. After days of effort and focus, Lael finishes in a fast, four days, 10 hours, 13 minutes, becoming only the second woman ever to complete the Navad 1000.
The film was produced and edited by US-based photographer Rugile Kaladyte and is presented by PEARL iZUMi and Revelate Designs.

"If you're not fit it's a pain." Understatement of the decade.
What makes this race so INCREDIBLE is that it is just the riders and the road/trail. None of the bullshit big money, team support and commercialism. This race was a true example of the human spirit. So pure. Both Stepan and Lael- hats off to both of you as well as the other competitors.
This woman is my role model in cycling. Such power and spirit...
She's an extreme optimist, that's half of the reason she is so hard to beat. When everything completely sucks, she's over there saying how wonderful it all is.
I am in love with this girls voice and spirit.
"I tried as hard as I could" what a beautiful and inspirational statement.
Lael always looks happy even though what she is doing is absolutely insane, "I definitely overdid it." Thank you for capturing this story Rue and you did an beautiful job - even though Switzerland's landscape definitely helped!
I so admire Lael, not only for being the world class endurance cyclist that she clearly is, but also for her whole vibe, positive attitude, and tough-as-nails spirit. More people should go through life with these gifts. It'd make the world a much better place.
What a great video. I've been following Lael and her riding for a few years now and her positive attitude and contagious laughter have been such a heart warming consistency. This race in particular is simply mind blowing. Endless congratulations to her and all of the finishers. What a beautiful route. I really can't wait to see what Lael does next, every time I turn around she's blowing my mind and inspiring bigger rides. And her choice to stick with PI and specialized rings very true to my own #bikestyle . I could go on forever. Just really freaking cool.
I really cannot understand who the f*&% would hit the dislike button on this video and for what reason...sometimes human behavior really baffles me.
