0:32 I have a feeling that companies want to add personalities to characters for seemingly no reason (mainly fps) because of how well valve did it. I may be saying this with a little bias because team fortress two is my favorite multiplayer game, but it's hard not to notice a rapid push for relatable characters in games after the early 2010s.

By the way, the answer to the Bismarck question is that the ship was meant to shoot down faster and better planes. This caused the ship to overshoot many of its rounds and even the ones that did hit wouldn't detonate since the old biplanes armor was so thin that it would just pierce it.

If you want a product to be successful you won’t get anywhere by just copy and pasting the same product as someone else? CS already was the leading competitive fps game for over a decade, with a dedicated fanbase and a large, beloved multi-billion dollar game company behind it. If Valorant tried to carbon copy CS by doing the things you said,(e.g. making the characters be realistic military or police operators, with accurate gun spray patterns etc.) it would never become a successful game, because it would forever and always just be “CS Clone, but worse”. Valorant became so successful because it tried taking the formula in a different direction. It managed to find gimmick that worked, just like the original Counter Strike mod did all those years ago.

0:31 because it can be epic. I love how much effort is put into some character designs and character backstorys and not just a typical camoflage soldier. You can make each character feel like their own with cool abilitys which are satisfying to use. I love how yoru's teleport forms out of the athmosphere or skyes bird forms with a glow effect and it's not just a gun animation. It makes games more colourful and fun to play but it's my opinion. Everyone has their opinion. Personally, i'm fan of more complicated epic shooters.
