As someone who grew up in the Portland metro area, I think I speak for all of us when I say "go back" /s No seriously, hope you enjoy your time in the beautiful PNW! It's great here as long as there aren't any wildfires. Hiking, camping, fishing, and just general outdoor activities are awesome here.

if your moving and you fear for your pc .. best thing is to get out all your hard drives and cary them with you... if the rest of the pc is broken this way atlist you will not lose your data... and ivent beter is to get a external drive to have backups

If you dont want your computer destroyed during the move, take out your GPU, its the most likely thing to break in transit and the last thing you want is to get there, unpack your computer, and find out your GPU ripped the PCIe slot off your motherboard, leading to a new motherboard at best, and a new motherboard and GPU at worst. if you have a large air cooler for your cpu, recommended to pull that off too, remember to get new thermal paste, a rag, and some isopropyl alcohol to clean the old thermal paste off, or just pick up a thermal grizly cryo sheet thermal padif you dont want to deal with paste.
