This artist made himself known to the public in 2013 as the runner-up of the popular talent show "K-pop Star Season 3." Then he made his official debut in 2016 and has been mesmerizing listeners with his velvety voice and songwriting skills since then. Thanks to his outstanding musicality, he has also worked with a number of A-list musicians, including IU, Crush, Zico, and more.
In June this year, Sam Kim released his new single "The Juice" after a break of about 2 years. With a blend of retro pop and hip hop, this autobiographic song depicts his worn-out state of mind interestingly through groovy dance moves. So he has proved that he can sing, compose, and even dance, making us eagerly anticipate what more he has in store for us.
In this episode, Sam Kim performs "The Juice," "Make Up," "Seattle" and more to showcase the quintessence of his artistry.

오디션 프로그램 K팝 스타 시즌3에 참가해 소울풀한 감성과 그루브 넘치는 기타 연주 실력으로 주목 받으며, 준우승을 차지한 이후 아이유, 크러쉬, 지코 등을 비롯해 다양한 뮤지션들과의 작업을 하며 그의 음악적 역량을 넓혀나가고 있다.
올해 6월 약 2년 만에 발표한 싱글 ‘The Juice(더 주스)’는 그동안 그가 느껴왔던 여러가지 부담감들로부터 소모되고 고갈된 에너지를 'Juice'로 표현한 자전적 내용을 담은 레트로 펑크 팝&힙합 곡으로 솔직하고도 표현력이 돋보이는 노래이다. 여기에 데뷔 이래 첫 시도하는 샘김의 화려한 댄스 퍼포먼스와 변화된 스타일링으로 ‘올라운더 뮤지션’으로서 새로운 모습을 선사해 앞으로의 행보를 더욱 주목하게 했다.
샘김은 [I’m Live] 무대를 통해 이번 앨범의 타이틀곡 ‘The Juice’와 대표곡 ‘Make Up’ 등을 선보일 예정이다. 샘김의 무대는 8월 6일 새벽 1시 아리랑TV에서 감상할 수 있다.

Sam Kim is absolutely fantastic I am definitely a fan. He is so smooth, Black 90’s R&B Soul smooth (VERY MUCH a compliment). With that said, I also really love his song Seattle, it is beautiful.
Sam is such an amazingly talented singer/songwriter! He always takes the songs to the next level when he performs live. I hope that he can come back to the States again soon so that I can witness all this energy in person.

Sam Kim was on my concerts bucket list at the beginning of 2020. Obviously that didn't happen. :( and I don't have much confidence for 2021 either. But as soon as he announces something, I will find a way to be there. Until then, I'll watch this, and other live performances on YT.

I will be waiting for him to come to USA, and for sure he won't perform here in Miami, so I am willing to take a flight to wherever he will have a concert. He is a great singer, writer and composer.
